More STAR WARS: LEGENDS Characters Will Soon Become Canon

It was recently confirmed that more characters from Star Wars: Legends will soon be made part of official canon once again. Did we find out who?

In 2014 it was announced that all previous Star Wars books, comics, video games, and other similar materials were to be moved under the Star Wars: Legends banner, leaving only the original six films, and the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars as the official canon.  This effectively erased 37 years worth of material, including many fan-favorite characters and stories.

Some small parts of Legends have popped up in more recent official canon projects, most notably the return of fan-favorite character Thrawn.

Recently a fan on Twitter asked Leland Chee, a member of the Lucasfilm Story Group, if any more characters from Legends would be making their way back into official cannon.  Chee responded, saying "You wouldn't believe some of the Legends characters that will be cropping up in various media in the coming months. Hey, if Tag & Bink can show up, ANYthing is possible."

Tag & Bink refer to characters from the four-issue Star Wars: Tag & Bink comic series who will be making an appearance in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story.

While we weren't given specifics on exactly which characters will be reappearing in official canon, we at least know to be on the lookout in the near future.

@WruceBayne - No reason why not. It's one of the best EU stories and Sam Writter works closely with Lucasfilm. He voiced Maul and Palpatine multiple times.

@WruceBayne - It's weird that the Force Unleashed games would be made non-canon in the first place, considering Lucas personally wrote the story and had also conceived a third game before LucasArts just decided to not continue the cliffhanger. And in other news, all LucasArts developers now work at Valve.

@GAThrawnIGF - Didn't Lucasarts continue with the cliffhanger? Both the Light and Dark side endings are cliffhangers.

@Nightwing1015 - Dave Filoni said they were strongly considering having Starkiller appear as an inquisitor in Rebels but they didn't they they could tell a good story out of it

@SupermansTrunks - Yeah, I remember something about him nearly being one of the inquisitors. I'd prefer if the Force Unleashed was just announced as canon. The only problem would be the Shak Ti's death already appeared in Clone Wars differently.

@Nightwing1015 - If Disney is ready to take some risks, Rebels' Ezra becoming Starkiller could be one of the best thing that happened to the series. The haircut y'know

At this point the only thing that would get me excited for SW is a Boba Fett and Knights of The Old Republic movie.

TFA and TLJ sucked balls IMO!

Though Rouge One was great!

LOL! Just watch The Han Solo movie be great as well....

@MasterMix - oh no. They should erase the HS from canon. On the contrary, it is quite fun the HS is canon and Revan isnt

I want the old republic to become canon again in some form. The rest of legends doesn't really bother me

Make all Legends canon again. Make all Disney Wars not canon.

@UncleBingo - I'd much rather have the Thrawn Trilogy than the sequel trilogy.

if Lucas & Disney want to go back to canon is because they have missed killing Chewbacca. Mrs. Kennedy and Ryan Johnson might want to drop a moon on him.
