Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is likely to remain one of the most divisive instalments in the franchise for years to come, but the upcoming "Art of" book promises to shed some light on just how different J.J. Abrams' movie could have ended up being.
Thanks to Yahoo Movies, we have a few new pieces of artwork from that, including an amazing shot of Kylo Ren staring down some space wolves outside the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. In earlier versions of the film, a big chunk of the action was set to take place on the planet, and it's like that Ren was there to get his hands on a Wayfinder.
In another piece of concept art, we see what appears to be an emotional meeting between General Leia and Rey with the Tantive IV (the iconic ship from A New Hope's opening) in the background.
Finally, there's a shot of Kylo Ren walking through Emperor Palpatine's massive army of Stormtroopers just like his grandfather Darth Vader did decades earlier. The Sith Troopers didn't really end up bringing much to the table in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, of course, but this makes for an undeniably cool visual.
What do you guys think about this concept art from the movie?
