The clips have been released onto YouTube by Lucasfilm and Disney ahead of
Star Wars: The Last Jedi's Blu-ray release on April 9th.
Without question one of the most popular scenes in
Star Wars: The Last Jedi was the fight scene which took place in Supreme Leader Snoke's throne room between Rey, Kylo Ren and Snoke's Praetorian Guards. Taking place immediately after Snoke's unexpected demise, the scene for the first time in the franchise features both the dark and light side working in tandem to defeat a larger threat. Kylo, having had enough of being manipulated by Snoke, struck him down causing the guards to move in and attempt to apprehend or outright kill Rey and Kylo. A (one quarter) portion of the scene has been released online, as you can see below:
The next scene shows Luke teaching Rey to reach out with her feelings rather than physically. This scene features an editing practice we haven't seen before in the franchise whilst Rey describes the universe's balance, the force. Check out the clip below:
What do you think about this scene and the way it's edited? How does the throne room fight stack up against the others in your opinion? Will you be picking up a Blu-ray copy of Star Wars: The Last Jedi once it's released on April 9th?
