VIDEO: The Schmoes' Top 10 STAR WARS Characters That Deserve Spin-Off Movies

Like most of us, Mark and Kristian are huge Star Wars geeks and they've put together this almost 30 minute-long vid, in which they discuss which characters from all six movies (as well as the EU) they feel are most deserving of the spin-off treatment.

I must admit that as much of a fan of the galaxy far far away that I am, my knowledge really only extends to the six movies and one novel I read about Boba Fett many years ago - the same can not be said for the Schmoes! In the following vid the boys count down their top 10 characters - from every possibly Star Wars media - that they think would be best suited for these planned spin-off flicks we hear so much about. Who the Sith is Darth Revan? Find out below.

Or maybe a Vader impersonation. It'd be like being hassled by a bunch of drunken asthmatics 24/7.

HBO should do a mini series based on Knights of the old Rebublic, it's much darker and more complex than traditional Star Wars, that would be awsome

@Gibman, I too hope a cable network like hbo, showtime etc would make a Star Wars show, would love to see the history of the Sith and/or Jedi from the very beginning...

These lists pretty much make me realize that there are next to no characters that I really want to see get spin-off flicks. If anything, I'd rather they go with characters that are blank slates. Shaak Ti was awesome and cute as the dickens in that original, traditionally animated Clone Wars cartoon, and we never saw her get killed... Doing a story around her that was an excuse to show a hunted, lone Jedi knight after the fall of the Republic could be cool, especially since we wouldn't need to have any ideas about how her story ends. But there's no reason that she would be a draw as a spin-off character.

Instead, they'll dredge up recognizable names and squeeze more bad prequel stuff out of them. I really don't give a shit about a young Lando or young Han... At best, they can only hope to not damage the original characters too badly with a film about them. Boba Fett is probably the best choice for a compromise between the two... A big enough name to get attention, but such a slight character (and even then it sounds like they're retconning out his clone origin) so as to give free reign to do anything with him.

6. X-Wing
That'd be so cool! A movie about the team going on rebel missions! Awesome.
5. Star Wars 1313
It just would have the title for fan service. Just make it about the underworld of Star Wars.
4. Obi Wan Kenobi
Takes place between 3 & 4. Has to fight some Storm troopers, Tuscan Raiders, Starkiller could show up, and a scene where a resurrected Darth Maul returns.
3. Han Solo
no explanation needed.
2. Boba Fett
I don't care when this takes place, as long as he's not a whiny little kid.
1. Starkiller
It'd be soooo badass. Keep Witwer as Starkiller and have the exact same seen from Obi Wan's movie where he goes to Tatooine be in the movie.
