Terminator: Dark Fate doesn't hit theaters in The US until next week, but reviews are already pouring in for the movie and that means we now have an early
Rotten Tomatoes score for the reboot/sequel.
Based on 55 reviews (
one of which is our own), it currently has a score of 65%. Hundreds more are bound to be added to the site over the coming weeks, so time will tell whether it winds up being "Certified Fresh" or landing a potentially franchise-killing "Rotten" score. Right now, though, things are fairly positive and it does seem as if critics like it for the most part.
According to the Critics Consensus, "Terminator: Dark Fate represents a significant upgrade over its immediate predecessors, even if it lacks the thrilling firepower of the franchise's best installments."
Honestly, it's not hard to top the past few movies, so those who declared it the best Terminator movie since Judgement Day in those social media reactions earlier this week probably didn't realise what faint praise that was! It definitely feels like a step in the right direction, though.
Are you guys excited to check out Terminator: Dark Fate?
