TERMINATOR: DARK FATE's Rotten Tomatoes Score Has Been Revealed

Terminator: Dark Fate arrives in theaters on November 1st, and the movie's initial Rotten Tomatoes score has now been revealed! Find out how the movie is faring with critics - including CBM - right here...

Terminator: Dark Fate doesn't hit theaters in The US until next week, but reviews are already pouring in for the movie and that means we now have an early Rotten Tomatoes score for the reboot/sequel.

Based on 55 reviews (one of which is our own), it currently has a score of 65%. Hundreds more are bound to be added to the site over the coming weeks, so time will tell whether it winds up being "Certified Fresh" or landing a potentially franchise-killing "Rotten" score. Right now, though, things are fairly positive and it does seem as if critics like it for the most part.

According to the Critics Consensus, "Terminator: Dark Fate represents a significant upgrade over its immediate predecessors, even if it lacks the thrilling firepower of the franchise's best installments."

Honestly, it's not hard to top the past few movies, so those who declared it the best Terminator movie since Judgement Day in those social media reactions earlier this week probably didn't realise what faint praise that was! It definitely feels like a step in the right direction, though.

Are you guys excited to check out Terminator: Dark Fate?

I mean, it's not like its more recent predecessors set the bar high.

I've been saying all along, the best we can hope for is the 3rd best Terminator movie.

It's funny how they promoted this movie with "JAMES CAMERON RETURNS....as a producer."

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Yeah. That's kinda like when they promote a flick by saying "From the mind of (insert big name director here)"...then you realize he's just the Executive Producer. 😑

This movie is a huge gamble. It will be fascinating to see if it's a success. Cameron has proved his midas touch only works when he's actually directing, because he wrote Alita and that failed. I hope it succeeds because Cameron actually took the time to plan out a trilogy with his brain trust [that includes David Goyer, make of that what you will].

I want to see this movie but not enough to pay movie theater prices for it, and that seems to be how a lot of people I know feel. This will most likely disappoint, not bomb but not make a whole lot, and that’s sad

Good to see it getting solid reception. Some are lukewarm on it and some are really liking it, but one concensus is certain, it is way better than the last three films and that's good to here.

I think I'll check this out in theaters. Big fan of the first two films. I'm in the middle of rewatching the series.

But is it cinema? James Cameron vs Scorcese has a ring to it. Cameron has an uneasy alliance with Bob iger and marvel due to scorcese calling out terminator movies. Plot twist: Cameron is looking to kill both sides

Clearly I can't write good cinema 🤦🏾‍♂️

@MyCoolYoung - We need a replacement for RT that simply rates films as either "Cinema" or "Despicable". They could even include a 3rd choice for "Roller Coaster".
