Merchandise packaging for Shazam! reveals that there's a lot more to this movie than meets the eye, while a new report sheds some light on the villains who may be joining Dr. Sivana during this adventure.

A new trailer for Shazam! is supposed to be right around the corner (you can check out a lengthy description by clicking here) but that's not the only big reveal from the DC Comics adaptation which has found its way online today. For starters, a new report claims that the Seven Deadly Sins will be making an appearance in the movie alongside Dr. Sivana.

For those of you unfamiliar with the villains, the seven demonic entities represent the - you guessed it - seven deadly sins: Pride, Envy, Greed, Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony, and Lust.

Their role in the movie remains to be seen but it's said that they will bear a resemblance to the versions seen during Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's "New 52" run on Shazam. Before you doubt this report, it's worth noting that a leaked image surfaced online yesterday which showed the Zachary Levi's hero being taken out by Wrath. 

In other news, some merchandise for Shazam! has seemingly confirmed that the rest of the Marvel Family will be appearing (Billy Batson's foster brothers and sisters powered up into adults). Who is playing them? That's a mystery but it's going to be awesome seeing the superhero team in action against Sivana and the Seven Deadly Sins!

@Superheromoviefan - I said after the first trailer that the 7 deadly sins are merged with sivan somehow. Still didn't expect the shazam family to show up.

This could either be good or bad

Good, because I think Shazam has a ton of creative potential, and adding in more dynamic villains opens up a great variety of set piece opportunities

Bad, because almost none of these movies know how to handle character, and it only gets worse when you stuff a ton of characters into the movie for world building purposes

Wasnt there casting announced of the grown up/shazaam versions of the kids? If not, I had a very vivid dream. Even the fat kid had a handsome, burly strong man type cast as his adult version. Mandela effect maybe?

The justice league set up the DC universe with its marketing. Just like every mcu movie in phase 2 had someone lose a hand every DC movie will unite the 7.
