While Henry Cavill's Superman is no longer set to appear in Shazam! following the actor's departure from the DC Extended Universe, fans are still hoping for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam to make an appearance. Unfortunately, that seems highly unlikely but Zachary Levi has now revealed that he's excited to see the character brought to the big screen...so the two of them can square off!
"I don’t know when they’re going to make that standalone live-action movie but I know that’s the plan," Levi explained during a recent appearance at the Baltimore Comic-Con. "I hope that eventually Shazam and Black Adam get to fight each other because I’d like to kick The Rock’s ass. Because that’s what would happen, right?" It would certainly be an interesting clash but when could it happen?
Chances are Black Adam would get his own solo outing before the two characters are paired up or pitted against each other and seeing as The Rock has been talking about playing the DC Comics anti-hero for years now, we still don't know when and if it will ever become a reality. As for that Cavill cameo, Levi was coy with his response but admitted that any decisions are "way above my pay grade."
