Looks like fans who wanted an in film explanation as to why Peter changes his suit in the amazing spider-man 2 are going to be pretty disappointing. This has all been revealed in the Amazing Spider-Man Cinematic Infinite Comic, which was leaked a while ago.

It all starts with Peter talking to Gwen about taking photos for the bugle, where she suggests he should change his suit.

Gwen even specifically brings up the mask.

After Peter finds the gang run by Aleksei Sytsevich aka Rhino, he is brought to a factor with a centrifuge.

However Peter realizes its a trap a little too late and ends up falling in the centrifuge.

Peter comes out with his costume in tatters and one barely functioning web shooter.

And after the encounter he is on the train station taking Gwens advice and making his new suit.

Well there you go guys, it may not be the explanation we wanted, but hey its something, what do you think of this, should they have explained it in the film rather then do it here? Leave your thoughts down below. See you later.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

Leave it to the novice art, amateur-writing tie-in comics to explain missing plot holes, amma right?!

I don't think this means that they won't decide to explain it on film.

Look at Iron Man, Thor, Cap, Superman, Batman. They RARELY bring up the change of the costume in the movie. It seems like people now just wanna bitch for the sake of bitching.

Well, they actually do explain it in the Batman and Iron Man movies, but I agree. Some people just can't stand this franchise.

It doesn't need to be explained in the new movie. It'd be nice if it was though, but it really doesn't matter. Costume changes happen all the time.

Ironman constantly upgrades his suits

Thor is an Asgardian warrior who changes his armor so often

Caps suit change has been explained each time in the Avengers and with the upcoming movie

Superman hasn't really had a suit change in a movie universe yet

Batman in TDK explained his change as well

@Dinotron, "Thor is an Asgardian warrior who changes his armor so often" that was the only explanation i didn't buy.

Spider-Man's suit in TASM, was just his 'Mark I' if you will, a suit upgrade should have to be explained, but they should at least show a fight where his suit get's damages beyond repair and then upgrades.

No explanation needed...his new suit looks great, that is all.
I'm just glad they realized how weak the first one was & changed it.

the first suit wasn't so bad, it just needed a little tweaking. I mean the only thing needed was more profound webbing, the extra red lines had to go along with the silver on the red boots and at the red belt. I mean the TASM suit was really kick ass in action. the TASM 2 feels a little cheap and what's up with the cod piece.
