The Daily Mail has provided new photos from the Times Square set of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man sequel revealing our first good look at Jamie Foxx as Maxwell Dillon, better known as the supervillain Electro. Covered with blue, Emperor-like makeup, check him out in photos below!





In “The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014.

i was one the people not sure about this casting, but Foxx is a great actor, and from what we can see in this picture, he looks pretty badass. wasn't thrilled with amazing spiderman, but am definitely hoping for the best. love me some spidey!

I wish they improve with the special effects coz I just can't picture this one on big screen. looks really cheap paint made :/

Electro works better in the comics look wise. Green and yellow outfit would've sucked and as Soto said, he looks like Mr.Freeze with the blue make up. Already Lizard looks a gazillion times better than Electro. Electro is gonna be written good for once but, I wi remain skeptical on the fight scenes cause he's never had an entertaining fight against Spidey. I wonder what Rhino will look like. Oddly enough, the set photos of Jamie Foxx as Electro kind of has my hopes up again about this movie. At least with the first one, I could keep my excitement once I got it. I hope you can strike gold again, Marc Webb.
