Disneyland's Marvel Package Provides A New Look At Possible Costume Design For SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel

Everyone's favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will be donning the Iron Spider suit when he joins the mightiest heroes of Earth and the galaxy to prevent Thanos from acquiring all the infinity stones in next month's Avengers: Infinity War. However, as with every character in the MCU, we can expect an upgrade in the costume department for Spidey when he swings onto the screen in the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. We recently had our first glimpse at what appears to be an upgraded, new suit for Spider-Man courtesy of some concept art for the superhero-themed Disneyland Resort. Now, we have an even better look at this possible new outfit,

As you can see below, this new suit has a more traditional look. The spider symbol is much bigger than on the Civil War and Homecoming suit, with more pronounced, longer legs that are more in line with how the spider is depicted in modern designs. Additionally, the extent of black on this suit appears to be restricted to black bands around the wrists, which are the web shooters (in the other concept art, the web shooters were quite large and prominent). The rest of the suit features the classic red and blue color scheme, with traditional black webbing on the red sections, something that the previous MCU suit lacked.

However, this new concept art does reveal an interesting characteristic. There is a set of bright, pale blue lines radiating throughout the darker blue portions of the suit, a detail that was missing in the initial art of this updated costume. It is unclear if this lighter blue color is woven into the suit itself, and is therefore present whenever Spidey swings into action, or perhaps the bright blue indicates a "powered-up" Spidey with a special ability. A powered up function would be a little reminiscent of T'Challa's new Black Panther suit, and we do know that Peter Parker will be meeting Shuri in the next two Avengers films; perhaps she helps Peter out with his new suit?

Check out the new suit below:

What do you think about the new look now that we have a better view of the possible upgraded suit? How do you think this suit compare to the one's we have seen already in the MCU? Is this suit closer to how you would like to see Spider-Man appear in the sequel to Homecoming? Be sure to leave your thoughts below!

Thank god they got rid of the black in a lot of places. Now lay off the CGI and just have him wear a suit the entire time
Don’t do this shit

If they go with that for the movie, that will be the most accurate version yet. Getting rid of the unnecessary over-details with those black rubber pieces. Bringing it back to basics. I like it. 👍

@TheSanitizer - Wasn't the one in ASM2 basically this costume?

@BobbyW - No. That was closer to Todd McFarlane's version from the comics.

@TheSanitizer - If you look closely the black is still there, top of the boots and outlining the red chest area, but yeah, still pretty accurate. It's so Steve Ditko it's brilliant.

@BobbyW - Yes, it is definitely comic book accurate and a beautiful version. No doubt. But it’s very Mark Bagely. Which is cool but not he definitive look.
But this is so much better because the suit’s colors pop and the eyes are so classic Spidey. Even the spider symbols are spot on.
It just screams Ditko/Romita Sr.
I love that.

I’m hoping it doesn’t have that shiny glossy finish on it because... that’s not... Nah

@Invasion96 - I mean, it is a picture of a picture on a reflective surface that you can clearly see has shine from lights in the background...

@HeavyMetal4Life - the shine wouldn’t hit exactly on muscle definition in his chest or curve on the top of his head it would just hit the screen... I’m not a failure I would just like it if it doesn’t have that...

@Invasion96 - I bet it won't have the shine to it on the final product. It is just concept art
