Plenty of people are curious as to why two plot lines came to a mysterious closure: Uncle Ben's killer still roaming the streets and the disappearance of Dr. Ratha. Of course the stories and said to be continued in the sequel, but we were promised the untold story for this movie, not the sequel, but these are not my main concern with the final cut. Without going into a full review, I'll just say that The Amazing Spider-Man was a spectacular movie, a 8.5/10 to me, but I was highly disappointed in the final cut of the movie. Here's why:
What happened to all of these scenes? This would have been the part where
Connors said "if you want the truth about your parents Peter, come and get it.". Spider-Man and The Lizard would have undoubtedly fought at this part, but for some reason it was cut, This seems like a HUGE scene to cut out. Perhaps this scene was the death of Dr. Ratha and it was decided to keep him alive so they had no choice but to cut the scene out, although it would have had to change the story moderately.
Remember this from the trailer? Well it was replaced with Peter surprising Connors with the decay rate algorithm on a small scrapbook rather than a huge blackboard. My guess is that the scene contained too much dialogue about Peter's parents that SONY probably decided to save for the sequel(s). Dr. Ratha also whispered to Peter "Do you think what happened to you, Peter, was an accident?" and maybe that somehow tied into the scene as well.
One scene that wasn't in the movie was when Peter and Lizard were fighting at school and Peter yells "Dr. Connors, this is not you, stop it, stop it right now."Pointing out this scene as being absent may seem like I'm nitpicking, but I felt this scene displayed the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man as a more assertive, tougher version of the Tobey Macguire Spider-Man.
Although it was mentioned in the movie, the scene with the intimidating doorman was cut out.
One of the most astonishing parts of the movie cut out was Connors son. His son was cast for the movie, and "the villains wife" was cast as well, and most people speculated that it would be Dr. Ratha's wife, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Connor's. How could they cut out every clip of his family and not even mention them?

The Amazing Spider-Man, but i feel that if it was more organized, it would be a 10/10 and in my personal opinion would have been my all time favorite super hero movie rather than my second. I am very surprised that the movie was as enjoyable as it was with all of these scenes cut out and the story going through as many major changes as it seemed to go through.
