By now we've all seen this picture

This is concept art for what will be most likely be used for a mid-transformation look, if anything at all. We already know Conners will slowly turn into the lizard. We've seen the Comic-Con stage of transformation (likely final stage). There is already a lot of hate for this. Aside from the normal trolls who wait to bag on anything from this film; there seems to be people that think this is a definite thing. This is not official, and remember concept art is a maybe thing.

This is concept art of Loki from Thor

This is the final look.

I really hope some people figure out that means almost nothing at the moment. There are stacks of different concepts and ideas, and a few are picked out to be worked on further. This is definitely one that got much more attention, but that still doesn't make it final.

its more realistic if you ask me, maybe some people are expecting like a Godzilla kind of lizard with spikes sprouting out his ass, but this is ok. and I also think that this is the real deal because of a movie tie in PEZ dispenser Lizard character I've just seen in newsarama website.

1) don't tell me to calm down

2) it does look bad. looks like a Power Ranger villain running around

3) not expecting much from the movie anyway...

I totally understand what you're saying and agree. I think most probably understood that, they were just stating their opinion on that piece of work, personally, I don't actually have a problem with the look itself, I just want them to put some pants on him! Seriously like Hulk he needs pants! Even though they won't show anything, I don't think I could honestly enjoy a battle sequence without the villain having pants on... lol

i'm calm,it looks like vintage ditko & it won't be the final look.

i believe it'll be like jeff goldblum transformation in the fly,the transformation will take place over the course of the film.

It's just concept art. It looks horrible but I'm not going to judge until I see some final footage.

Mystery, do you know that the "The More You Know" banner is from a TV network, some celebrity will get on TV say something like "Feeding gorillas cotton candy makes their butt run, the more you know" then the letters appear with a star that shines across.

I think it's natural to get defensive when an article like this comes out. Especially if you feel you've expressed your opinion in a reasonable fashion. After all, that's what the comments section is for, right?

But if you look at the comments section of many of the Spider-man articles on this site, you'll notice that a lot of people really are "flipping their shit". It's the same on many other sites. Hell, I almost did but I forgot my password and was too lazy to look it up until today. Anyway, I'm all for expressing disappointment or approval. I think that the concept stinks, Steve Ditko resemblance or not. Regardless, I appreciate this article.

Welcome! From the sound of it, you were probably too young to remember, or weren't born yet ha!

^^^ Good question, but Sony has a history of witholding on the goods. This late in the game and they've hardly released anything. Most of what we have are set photos that were taken by random people who were on location.

Also, the Pez thing was more of a leak than an official debut. The image above was leaked by spidermedia.ru. Sony had nothing to do with its release.

So with that in mind, I still think there's plenty of cause to speculate this is just concept art, and there's plenty more justification to speculate that the final Lizard phase will look different than this.

I am hoping that the Lizard looks creepy. He really shouldn't be lookin like the evil twin of Killer Croc from Batman the Animated Series. I'm not hating, I'm just saying.

Something that many are not realizing is that the picture above is a frontal view with no depth. Who says that his snout isn't long? It may seem like it is flat but people are only basing that on 1. The pez thing 2. The picture looks like it is flat but.it may be elongated when seen st a side angle

I like the body of Lizard I just hate the face. That can't possibly be full transformation why would he have a nose? Shouldn't it just be nostrils on his snout?
Stumblin
Stumblin - 12/1/2011, 2:39 PM
The thing is BooYah, the Lizard has many different versions, some more reptilian while others (like the first appearance) is more of a hybrid, a mix between human and reptilian, as opposed to a giant lizard running around.

We all know he has a snout because of the leaked shots from the convention, obviously looking straight on makes it seems like he doesn't.

PREACH ON! ((FYI: I don't mind the concept art of the Lizard. It looks like the original comics.))

You know I've been really interested in the ability lizards and spiders have to regrow things, because it could help us develop our medical practices further. Despite my inner nerd going like, "No you know the consequences," I really think it is super interesting. Something I don't think any of the comics have factored in is that lizards grow their tails back shorter and paler, so wouldn't Connors get a small white arm? I know it would be kind of lame, but if we're going for "realistic" I think it would be cool is they threw in some scientific fact on the process.

But personally I like the over the top things. I want to see something like this for when Connors is just deciding he is unfit for the surface to go to the sewers. After that he starts to moan and scream starting some rumor peter hears at school and making captain Stacey all tense, before BOOM! big ol' scary mofo with out self control.

JackDexx - 12/1/2011, 9:49 PM
why of corse my good sir, but that is leaked. and look at spider-man's. not like his suit. not official or reliable, but in the end that won't matter when the film is out we will see him. I can't wait for this film. It's gonna blow a lot of people away. The First Class of 2012.

@Stumblin- Good point. I'm just going to have to see a official image before I have an opinion on Lizard.

like to see a little longer snout, instead of a very human face. this still doesnt instantly qualify this movie into the shit category. spidey is my favorite comic character, so im gonna give it a chance.

We already know for sure that He'll look like this from the footage.

http://comics-x-aminer.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/lizard.jpg

So theres no reason to believe from the concept art, that he won't have a longer snout.

He probably transforms more than 1 time, and gets progressively more lizard like every time.
