In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Dane Dehaan talked about Harry Osborn's complex arc in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Harry's relationship with Peter Parker and Oscorp. "When you first meet Harry he's just graduated from high school, and he has to come back to New York to help deal with Oscorp, and its legacy, and his father. He also sees Peter Parker for the first time in a long time; they were childhood friends" says Dehaan, "So it's really about Harry having a friendship with Peter and an allegiance to Peter, but also being the heir apparent to Oscorp, and having to deal with that. Yeah, and it's a friendship that... I mean, they haven't been friends for such a long time, but they definitely both feel like they used to be best friends, and ideally they would love to rekindle that friendship."

Dane later added that there are certain things Harry Osborn needs from Peter Parker and his alter ego, Spider-Man. "It's becoming very obvious that all of these villains are originating from within Oscorp, in one way or the other. There are things that Harry feels he owes Peter, and things he needs from Peter, there are things he feels he needs from Spider-Man, and then there's his responsibility to Oscorp. It's a very complicated storyline, really cool and dynamic."

Seeing how Harry is obliged to stay loyal to 'Oscorp' and his father, It seems that their renewed 'friendship' with Peter won't last long. Also, what are this certain 'things' Harry needs from Peter and Spider-Man?

I'm a bit unsure on the actor playing Harry Osborn as his dialogue in the trailer seemed force and hopefully they will be an explanation as to why Harry wont wear the Goblin mask but will transform himself into a Goblin.

I'm really looking forward to TASM 2 and as to how the film will pull off having so many characters in its film.

I have a hunch that DeHaan will make a bad ass Harry Osborn in this film.

Emma Stone:
“It’s wild to be back in character as Gwen Stacy,” she said. “I love her and the script is just wonderful!”

Dane DeHaan:
"It's awesome. It really is." "It's human and it's deep and it's also epic and still a huge superhero movie. But it all makes sense and it all comes from very human elements,"
"It's a very complicated storyline, really cool and dynamic."

Andrew Garfield:
“This time we have this very, very good script that makes a lot of sense.” “I almost cried. Because I was like, ‘This is what we’ve needed and this is what we were missing a little bit in the first one.’

Hans Zimmer :
“You have no idea how [well] the relationships work in this one. That is what he [Webb]’s masterful about; truly, truly, truly wonderful. And the movie just sort of sparkles whenever—because it could be so easily a movie driven by action, and it really is driven by charm and love and sparkling dialogue. And the chemistry between the characters is fantastic.”

Andrew, Emma, Dane, Hans quotes about MOVIE SCRIPT!!!

Dane DeHaan will be great as Harry Osborn. Such perfect casting.

@WYLEEJAY I don't think Harry will find out Peter is Spider-Man until towards the end of the movie.

@FreedomFreeLife

I have heard nothing but amazing things about the screenplay of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And I agree with TheOneAboveAll, it's not usual for a composer to praise the script like Zimmer did. And it's not usual to see Zimmer as enthusiastic about working on a score like he sounds. I think I haven't seen Zimmer this stoked working in a soundtrack since The Dark Knight's Trilogy. Can't wait!!

@sinsear912 Peter Parker/Spiderman is a douchebag lol I have been reading all the Amazing Spiderman comics from number one all the way up to Superior and one thing I have noticed is nobody really likes him even when he is a Avenger ppl just wish he would shut up lol.

I don't get the hate for TASM. I thought Garfield felt more like a real modern teenager and less a caricature of a nerd. Sure the lizard design could've been better and more time spent with Connors but it isn't bad like SM1 Goblin.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the best Spider-Man movie in my opinion and while I'm still optimistic about the sequel, I can't help but get excited. Not to mention the additions of Chris Cooper AND Dane Dehaan in the film only help the already impressive cast from the first film.
