Marc Webb's recent The Amazing Spider-Man movies didn't feature the loud and brash Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah. Jameson, and perhaps wisely - many would argue they'd struggle to top J. K. Simmons in the role. Well, it appears that whoever's currently developing the Spider-Man franchise realizes that too.
Whilst talking about his role as J. Jonah Jameson in the original Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man trilogy on the Howard Stern Show, Simmons may have let something slip - when asked if he was doing another Spider-Man movie, Simmons stated “I just heard that we… that that’s a possibility!” A possibility? Simmons went on to reaffirm that he would "absolutely" reprise the role if asked. While this could just be a misinterpretation - is it possible that either Marvel or Sony is pursuing the actor to reprise the JJJ role in a future Spider-Man movie?
Now of course, this is hardly confirmation that Simmons will reprise the role in the future - we don't even know who's working on the Spider-Man franchise right now, let alone who'll be in it! But regardless, it's great to hear the actor is still just as enthusiastic about the role. Do you want to see Simmons back as JJJ? Be sure to let us know below!
