A new 15-second TV promo for Sony Pictures' upcoming Spider-Man spin-off, Kraven the Hunter, has been shared online.
The teaser is mostly made up of footage from the recently released trailer, but we do get a couple of new shots of Aaron Taylor Johnson as the titular anti-hero(?) as he leaps into action to take down an enemy and scratch another name off his list.
The trailer seemingly led to a bit of confusion about which actors are playing which characters (it didn't help that the trades initially mixed two of them up), but the studio has now released an official cast list clarifying who's playing who.
Ariana DeBose will play Calypso, a voodoo priestess and Kraven's on-off love interest (in the comics, at least); Fred Hechinger is Dmitri Smerdyakov, aka the Chameleon, who is Kraven's half-brother; Alessandro Nivola will play Aleksei Sytsevich, aka the Rhino, and Christopher Abbott will portray another villain known as the Foreigner
Check out the new spot below, along with the Red Band trailer.
“Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the titular character in the R-rated film.”
J.C. Chandor directs Kraven the Hunter, which is set to hit theaters on October 6, 2023.
