Marc Webb Says He's "Not Sure" About Returning To Direct TASM 2

Will Marc Webb direct the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man? It was felt that the answer was a foregone conclusion, but judging by the director's response when asked about it, he may not have made up his mind about it at all..

Well, it's a long ... People ask about the sequel and I'm like, "Well, you know, I don't know if I want to do that, but I love the process." I love Andrew and Emma. But it's like asking someone who has just given birth, "Do you want to get pregnant again?"

Sounds to me like he just needs a bit of time off from wall crawling and web spinning and he'll be ready to get back in the chair, but you never know! Webb also reveals a few more interesting things in the interview - He debunks the rumor that in the original cut Peter's powers were a result of something his parents did and not the traditional bite from a radioactive spider - he says there were NO reshoots. Also, if you were wondering why there was no J.J. Jameson in this movie, it was indeed down to how damn good J.K Simmons was as the character in Sam Raimi's trilogy - "OK, that's the one thing from the previous movies. He was such a bombastic character, it would have been difficult." But Webb is certain that we will see Jameson in future movies. Another thing he strongly hints that we will see is the controversial death of Gwen Stacy story-line.
