Spider-man Movie Retrospective: an opinionated In depth Look At the Web Heads five film franchise.
Throughout the year I am going to be making a six part article series that looks at Spider-man’s five film franchises [yes you heard me right folks five and a fanfilm] also explaining them with my own usual opinions, but backed up with valid points and recommendations. To make things also easier on myself, I will also be taking some videos, off of YouTube for points and interest. Talk about what I have found and hoping that you walk away with a little more knowledge, some excitement for the TASM2, and hopefully get something out of these films. So my plan schedule so far is this:
TASM [1977] - March 8th
SPIDER-MAN – May 3rd
SPIDER-MAN 2 – July 12th
SPIDER-MAN 3 – October 13th
TASM [2012]/ ENDING - December 12th
This being the introduction I’ll explore a few things in here, like the Fan Film form 1992 called goblin’s last stand, a very dark and faithful movie about the death of Gwen Stacy. In the film written, directed, and started Daniel Poole as Peter Parker / Spider-man, the effects are really good, and being made for under / around 500 million dollars, its interesting how it came out. The acting’s cheesy, but the goblin costume and performance with the real practical web-swinging are great. You can find a Link to Poole’s film here if you’re interested:
The film was originally made to showcase to James Cameron who at the time was working on spider-man, what you could do with the character. As interesting as it was to see, I would still love to see Carmon’s take on spider-man, to me it would of been epic to see, instead we got his and twenty five year’s worth of legal battles, broken promises, shifty deals and the Man who created the horror icon of Ash, Sam Rami’s incarnation ten years later, more on that when we get to it. For now I rate the fan film 6 our 10 Pumpkin Bombs’.
Ladies and True believers out there, I welcome you all, to Spider-man Retrospective.
Feel free to state your opinion on the film, and what do you think of the Spider-man movie retrospective?
