Photos From The Amazing Spider-Man Reshoots Feature Peter Parker And Destroyed Taxi!

Reshoots are currently taking place for the highly anticipated 2012 blockbuster, so hit the jump to check out some new images of Andrew Garfield, as well as a destroyed taxi which looks like it may have been a victim of the Lizard...

With reshoots well underway in New York City, we've had a few extra set photos appear online from The Amazing Spider-Man. Sadly, there's been no sign of the hero in full costume, but we do have Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker! Remember, if you have any information or set pics you'd like to share with us, get in touch by clicking HERE. The first batch of photos come courtesy of Twitter's @RIMBreaks.

These photos come courtesy of Bowery Boogie, as do the brief details on the scene which was being filmed. While that taxi apparently fell from the bridge, I seem to recall cars being flung around in the teaser trailer...could this be the Lizard's handiwork I wonder?

Fiona’s Tale AKA Spiderman 4 is filming on location underneath the Willy B tonight [Thursday] alongside East River Housing. You can see a destroyed Taxi, that appears to have fallen from the bridge. I shot a few photos before I was asked to leave, my own personal property, by one of the snarky PAs.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

100% agree with TheLight. he looks EXACTLY how I want Peter to look. I'm not dazzled by the costume changes (to me they are not improvements, but changes for the sake of making changes)....but between Andrew's look and talent.......and the re-addition of mechanical shooters (I'm on the geek sides that feels they are a key aspect of Spider-man) I am so very hopeful for this to deliver.

Somehow the second pic reminds me of Channing Tatum.

Anyway Andrew definitely screams Peter Parker. He is going to be great in the role.
Can wait to see The Lizard.

Hmmmm, looks like something from Twilight....................................Nah!!! Just joking, just joking!! But seriously. He looks amazing and exactly, EXACTLY, like Peter Parker. He was born to play as Spider-Man. Spider-Man is and always will be my #1 Marvel Hero. So it's an honor to have him play as my favorite, #1 Marvel Hero!

AMAZING!!!!!!!

Oh noes, this not bode well. Reshoots nearly always mean: we have a shit film, lets try and make it better. They never quite have the money to do enough to save the rot. Sure hope i'm wrong, though my 6yo won't tell the difference.

as much as I dislike the costume and want spider-man back with marvel, andrew garfield really looks like a good parker.
Darkhaven
Darkhaven - 11/18/2011, 6:53 PM
He can look like Peter Parker all he wants, but the trailer has this coming across as the Dark Knight variation of Spider Man. If this kid doesn't tap into Spider-Man's humor and smartass quips, he'll be subpar. I liked the action and layout of the first two Spider-Man flicks, but Tobey Macguire took Peter's brooding and deep aspects way too far. And his humorous side was pretty weak.

lets face it tobey is a good actor but was not right to play peter parker. the writing didnt help either. him being a whiny bitch in 3 was a disgrace. but he can only give a performance worthy of the script.

Hey Scorpion8125.

Glad you liked Tobey, but your recent use of homophobic language to express your disgust with the reboot is a bit much.

Maybe you didn't intend it to be, but you're insulting Andrew Garfield simply because he's British and he has poofy hair. How is that a legitemate complaint? I know the current British heart throb hating climate has made it seem as though having poofy hair is a crime, but honestly, it's just hair man. And, Garfield isn't even a heart throb yet, maybe he won't ever be. Does it matter? Relax.

If Webb has made any mistakes with the portrayal of Spider-man, it's that he sees Peter Parker as a punk. But maybe even that will lend itself well to the film. It's ridiculous for people to have to say this so often, but honestly, you know next to nothing about this movie in spite of all the set videos, photos, interviews, and the one teaser trailer.
