Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN Is Finally Coming To A Streaming Service This April

We're all struggling to find things to watch at the moment, but there's some good news today as Sam Raimi's classic Spider-Man will finally be available to stream next month. Hit the jump for details...

If you're old enough to remember seeing Spider-Man in theaters, you'll be all too aware that it was a game-changer for superheroes on the big screen. The movie arrived way back in 2002, and made it clear to studio execs that people were will to pay to see comic book adaptations.

Now, it's been confirmed that the Sam Raimi helmed release is finally coming to streaming platforms on April 1st when Tobey Maguire's web-slinger swings on to Hulu.

Most Marvel Comics adaptations are, of course, already on Disney+, but because Spider-Man was released by Sony Pictures, that's obviously not included. While Disney now owns Fox, they've been struggling to get the Fantastic Four and X-Men films on their streaming service, though the UK version of Disney+ is set to include the latter franchise.

Sony's movies have never really had a streaming home, so the fact that Spider-Man is now available on Hulu could lead to an entire new generation of fans discovering it for the first time.

After all, there have been two reboots since it was released, with The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 and Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 (though that version of the wall-crawler first showed up in 2016's Captain America: Civil War when he made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut).

Will you guys be rewatching Spider-Man

Wonder if that was suppose to be the big reveal scene, considering in the movie we don't get a reveal, just that montage

It’s already on like three different ones here in Canada :/

Spider-Man 2 is still one of the best CBMs of all time though. It’s in an entirely different league of its own

@DaHyro - its a shame so many of the current generation completely disregard this franchise since the mcu version is out. This is an incredible movie on its own.

Oldest memory I have is seeing this in cinemas when I was 3 years old. Still remember the trailers they played before it started, Master of Disguise and MIB 2. Great film, probably seen it 50 times by now

I need to rewatch the Raimi movies while I'm quarantined. It's been way too long since I saw them last.

Really hoping I can use this time to catch up on all the movies/TV/video games I've neglected over the past couple of years.

@AC1 - Same. This and TDK trilogy. If only I could get off of CoD.

@RageDriver2401 - I got Horizon Zero Dawn for Christmas two years ago. Finally got round to starting it a couple of days ago.

But yeah, TDK trilogy's on my list too. Inception and Interstellar as well. And all the Disney stuff I've missed now Disney Plus is finally in the UK.

I have the digital versions since I combined my ITunes with my sister sisters Amazon Prime with Movies Anywhere. Tbh none of the Raimi movies hold up for me which sucks bc they were some of the most formative movies for me as a kid
