If you're old enough to remember seeing
Spider-Man in theaters, you'll be all too aware that it was a game-changer for superheroes on the big screen. The movie arrived way back in 2002, and made it clear to studio execs that people were will to pay to see comic book adaptations.
Now, it's been confirmed that the Sam Raimi helmed release is finally coming to streaming platforms on April 1st when Tobey Maguire's web-slinger swings on to Hulu.
Most Marvel Comics adaptations are, of course, already on Disney+, but because
Spider-Man was released by Sony Pictures, that's obviously not included. While Disney now owns Fox, they've been struggling to get the
Fantastic Four and
X-Men films on their streaming service, though the UK version of Disney+ is set to include the latter franchise.
Sony's movies have never really had a streaming home, so the fact that Spider-Man is now available on Hulu could lead to an entire new generation of fans discovering it for the first time.
