So, we officially got the cast of Suicide Squad revealed a day ago, and while it's unanimously agreed upon that the casting is exceptional...their is one actress who was only rumored to be in the movie; yet, there was no word (until now) of which character she might be playing. I'm talking about Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this, but Enchantress is a ‘witch’ (as the name might suggest). Witches fall under the ‘supernatural’ banner. AND, when we talk about supernatural in relation to DC Comics, we are usually talking about none other than, you guessed it, Justice League Dark! WAIT, it gets better. Enchantress has had team associations to JLD and also has connections to them in the New 52 as well. Guillermo Del Toro just submitted the script for JLD to Warner Brothers last week, while also saying he is working on a ‘shared universe’ currently. While there was some confusion as to what he meant by shared universe, could this finally confirm that the JLD is in the same shared universe as DCCU?!

Also, the Enchantress has been a part of the Shadow Pact team as well, so
we could see them in the DCCU as well? We’ll just have to wait and see. Thanks for reading!

Suicide Squad will be in theaters on August 5, 2016. The film will star two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith (The Pursuit of Happyness, Ali, and the upcoming Focus) as Deadshot; Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises and the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road) as Rick Flagg; Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street and the upcoming Focus, and the Tarzan movie) as Harley Quinn; Oscar winner Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club and Alexander) as the Joker; Jai Courtney (Divergent and the upcoming The Water Diviner) as Boomerang; and Cara Delevingne (Anna Karenina, and the upcoming Pan) as Enchantress, under the direction of David Ayer (Fury). Ayer is also writing the script, which is being produced by Charles Roven (The Dark Knight trilogy, and the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Richard Suckle (American Hustle). Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns are serving as executive producers.

I'm hoping they go full on New 52 if they end up doing Justice League Dark. I want to see some vampires in the DCCU. Potentially an I, Vampire spin-off (highly unlikely but I can dream). Andrew Bennett is awesome.

I was talking about Enchantress mostly because the disgusting model Cara Delevingne is playing her. The studio should have castvsome one better and now she's going to be in Justice League Dark.

Also Thor 3 is going to be weird if the movie has The Enchantress too.

Cara Delevingne is actually a decent actress. Del Toro said that the only shared universe he's working on is JLD so Enchantress is probably linked to it. I don't know how she'll fit in with the rest of the non-powered characters in the film though.

Yeah I thought Enchantress was pretty random, I'd love to have had Cara play Killer Frost.
I think you could've made reference to JDL with another cameo from another character.

But either way, Cara is a decent actress, she was on an episode if "Playhouse Presents" here in England and showed some good dramatic acting.

@scorpion I know what you mean about his fan base, very comic book men/women. Rim was horrible. He needs to stick in his element for sure, however his work on Hellboy and Blade, along with his new FX series, gives me confidence he can do a great JLD.

A little bummed out Deathstroke is no where to be found.

All ideas start with @jollem. She thinks deep thoughts. She has no thoughts other than men in spandex and bad boys. She loves her bad boys. Hopefully this movie will shut her up. I doubt it.

I was thinking about this as well. It would make sense. Was never really into the supernatural superhero stuff but after I started reading Hellblazer and Sandman (and will eventually read JLD) im really excited to see this side of the cinematic universe.
