Possible SPOILER Regarding The Role 'Enchantress' Will Play In SUICIDE SQUAD

David Ayer's Suicide Squad has become one of our most anticipated movies of next year, but story details are still pretty scarce. Well, if accurate, the following Enchantress-centric SPOILER sheds a lot of light on what we can expect from the plot...

As the SDCC trailer makes very clear, the Suicide Squad are bad guys... but since they're still our protagonists, who will they be going up against? The unofficial tagline for this movie seems to be "Bad VS. Evil", and that would definitely be an accurate description if Deadshot, Harley Quinn and co. are taking on a demonic entity!

The latest rumor from Heroic Hollywood claims that Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) is actually going to be the villain of the piece, with Task Force X attempting to stop her from "resurrecting her brother", which will somehow result in her "destroying the world". Who her brother is and why bringing him back to life would mean the end of the world is a mystery - but remember Enchantress is actually a normal human named June Moon, whose powers are the result of being possessed by an evil force, so chances are this brother is not a terribly nice fella.

It does make sense that Enchantress will play the role of antagonist, as she's never glimpsed with the team in any of the shots from he trailer. This is still just a rumor for now though, so what do you guys make of it? Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5, 2016.

Who's is a contraction for who is or who has.

Whose is a possesive form of who. June Moon possesses those powers.

I think you know where I'm going with this.

The only role women should have is pleasing men sexually and raising babies. Maybe do some yard work if Juan isn't available.

Oh my God. Ror, can you delete SuperCat's comment?

Not all Mexicans do landscaping. Just two-thirds. >:(

Sounds like El Mayimbe is getting his rumors mixed up, with Ghostbusters here.
But this plot sounds a little better than the squad running around trying to stop the Joker from blowing up a 7-11 and stuff.

But if she's the villain, where does Joker come into play?

Definitely taking influence from Ostrander's run.

If that's true, then who are all the henchmen they can be seen fighting? Why are gunships involved?

If true, this is DUM SHIT. Suicide Squad is NEVER about saving the world. They are a tactical unit who does covert hint, COVERT shit, for the govt. It should be some dangeorus mission, not this world saving shit meant for the JLA

Lol. I don't get why saving the world if anything new for Suicide Squad movie. I mean Will Smith himself said "Lets go save the world" in the trailer...

See, the thing is, I refuse to believe that the main villain of this movie - when we've got Jared Leto as The Joker in it as well - is going to be Cara Delevingne as The Enchantress. That I just don't believe.

What I do believe may happen instead is that The Enchantress is the catalyst to the plot - that The Joker will try to use her powers to destroy the world against her own will and the Squad must stop him and save her.

Considering that she was part of the SS lineup in the poster, she's obviously part of the squad and thus not the true villain - when we've seen Joker pics yet he isn't included on the SS promo poster because he is actually the true villain.

This makes some sense. Enchantress is always a problem for any team she's associated with. The demon-witch possessing June Moon essentially has her own agenda, and that could mean she's trying to raise a demon even worse than she is, i.e. Trigon.

Also, I can see there being a race to be the first to get hold of and control Enchantress (good luck). One of the first rumors was that she was a WMD Luthor was transporting somewhere and the Squad was sent to intercept.

Hmmmmm, all so interesting. I love how magic and the supernatural are already a big part of the DCEU (WW introduces magic in BvS).

@comicsbornandbred

The SS actually did a lot of world-saving missions in that run. And they weren't exactly covert a lot of the time, which is why Waller spent a year in jail.
