Believe It Or Not Spidey Was Not The First Superhero To Be Embarrassed With A Musical!

This aired one time and one time only back in the 70's. Can you guess why?

Yes, it is that bad. The Spider-Man musical is stuck in development hell. Somehow the video below made the cut and actually aired on TV once in the 70's. The 70's musical video is based on the actual Broadway musical. I never knew Superman could sing, or even wanted to. Anyway take a look for yourself.

I'm not sure why people think musicals match up with superhero movies? Yes I asked it, WHY? Whatever ya know, to each their own. Oh, and by the way, Superman is being prepped for a revival on Broadway in "It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman!" planned for 2010! So strap in everybody, the stiffs on Broadway get what they want before the masses can get a solid up to date Superman movie. One of the title songs goes like this:

"Why must the strongest man in the world be the saddest man, tell me why? Don't they know the strongest man can cry?"

Any thoughts?
