How to inroduce Bruce Wayne in the Man Of Steel universe

We already had a hint that Bruce Wayne exist in Man Of Steel, now here are my thought on how to develop him in the future.

Hi again everyone, in this article I will explain how I think, Bruce Wayne should be introduced in the DC cinematic universe.

Bruce Wayne, not Batman, should be introduced in the Man Of Steel sequel. He should not have a major role, but not just a cameo too. If I would to compare the screen time and charter development with one of MOS charter it would be like Perry White.

The thing Warner Bros. Need to do is map out the future DCCU. They need to Choose what director they want for the Batman reboot and that director and Snyder will choose the actor together.

The sequel will most likely deal with Metropolis destruction, and Lex Luthor will most likely be the villain. So have Lex and Bruce be both in completion to rebuilt Metropolis. The Bruce we will see is the one the public see, the fake Bruce, with only subtle hint that he is faking.

And Lex should have spy within Wayne Enterprise. Wayne Tech should be the one that developed the jet pack boot because Bruce wants to be able to rival Superman if anything happen. The spies then stole the idea and give it to Lex, and he incorporates that to his battle suit.

And maybe, only maybe have a Batman cameo at the end. Or just a mention like Superman wonder why something happen (ex: a bomb doesn’t go off or Lexcorp computer system is hack preventing something) and near that you would have Batman logo.

That it, that how I think Bruce should be introduced in this new universe. Thanks for reading, leave your thought and comment below.

Have Clark on an assignment to interview Lex, hes waiting in the waiting room and Bruce Wayne walks out of Lex's office. Clark sees who he is, walks up to him to try to talk to him regarding his involvement with the rebuilding of metropolis. Clark says, "Hi I'm Cla.." Bruce "I know who you are, you owe me a satellite." Lex interrupts them and Clark turns back to Bruce who vanished.

World's Finest after MOS 2. WB want to do a sequel before doing a team-up movie. But they should have World's Finest before JL.

Rebooting Batman is going to be a huge mistake!

No not this big! All you need is a scene where Lex is reading a news paper article which talks about Wane Enterprises surpassing Lex Corp. Then Lex gets angry and throws the newspaper in the trash.

" near that you would have Batman logo" Batman would never do something stupid like leaving the logo...he would clean everything up or leave Lex henchmans beaten up on the ground...not logo.

Which actor should play Batman in the reboot?

BatsFan - 6/17/2013, 9:53 AM
I don't know, I like Jake Gyllenhaal, I heard he tested great for Batman Begin but was a bit too young. Now he is 32.

@Forthas Yes it will be! Especially since it would be so, SO easy to move forward with this storyline!!!!!!

I don't think Gyllenhaal would work...some people want Gostling but I think he's done with the movies for now and I would prefer him as Flash :P Guy from the Mad Men maybe, Karl Urban...there's a lot of possibilities but when I hear news like Patrison tryign for the part of Man of Steel...I die a little inside...every time.

I think they could just bring back Bale...after all he was in italy or wherever at the end of TDKR so it would explain why he wasn't anywhere near during the invasion...and they could skip origin story...still I think they need really good director and script...People will be negatively bias towards new movie after Nolan trilogy

Unless it's World's Finest keep Batman / Bruce Wayne appearances to a minimum.

I also agree with Forthas that it's too soon to reboot Batman. I believe WB know that already which is why the only thing we've been promised in the near future is a Man Of Steel sequel.

If ever they did decide to include the character then I like Almighty1080's idea which could fit in with my idea...

Warner Bros. will reboot Batman because Chris Nolan don't want to see his continuity get expended. They tried to make a deal with him but it didn't work. And anyway the place Bruce is at the end of Rises would seem like a good way to continued.

Yeah it could work that way, but the Bruce Wayne persona can't come back, and what about Blake ? Also Bale said he would come back only if Nolan ask him to.

No Bale. He is a terrible Batman. If i have to suffer through more movies with that [frick]ing Batvoice, i will laugh my ass off if he just keeps talking to other justice league memebers who knows who he is in the batvoice "hey flaaaash, wanna grab so coffee" Dark and scratchy like. Just no. It was silly enough that he did the voice when everyone knew who he was and even when no one was around "thats what that feels liiiiike" Come on Dude. You sound like a 9 year old trying to sound like a grown up. "i'm an adult, you do what i sayyy braaaah" If no one in the league laughs at his Batvoice I would have a serious problem.

Everyone knows it was the villains that drove the Nolan Batman films. No one actually cared about Batman in those movies. At least not the GA. All i hear from the GA is how silly his batman voice is and how the villains were awesome. I never hear "oh yeah and Bale was great as batman" they were villain centric. SO just keep him in the cowl the whole time put on a different voice "not the batvoice dammit, and it will work.

I will say he did a fantastic Job as Bruce Wayne though.

Except for Batman Begin for the villains, Bruce/Batman was the one that drove the movie. And his voice was less a grunt.

There are a few things that people have wrong that could be EASILY cleared up to meld the Dark Knight with Man of Steel.

1) That Nolan is not willing to expand the Dark Knight Trilogy - I am not so sure about that. It was Nolan who explicitly advocated for a spin off of Catwoman from the Dark Knight movies (not necessarily with him directing). That would constitute an expansion of his movies. You can read it here...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2012/jul/12/anne-hathaway-dark-knight-rises

2) Bruce Wayne is poor and gave up his Batcave - Ironically the Man of Steel film could solve that problem. With the destruction of metropolis and the introduction of an alien threat, governments could turn to Wayne Enterprises to help them deal with BOTH these issues (reconstruction of the city and the development of more advanced weapons) which means lucrative contracts that could restore Wayne's billions. Also with Bane having destroyed the Armory where Lucius Fox kept the military weapons Fox would need a NEW place to put the weapons thus a A NEW BAT CAVE!

3) He is not super powered - The Dark Knight Rises introduced the leg brace that Batman strapped on which allowed him to kick the sh@t out of a brick wall. Why could he not use them on both legs and arms giving him greater super strength, even if it is not Superman level strength.

Sir! I am in total agreement! There is absolutely a way(s) to blend the stories. If it does not happen then it is because someone did not want it to happen not because it could not!

We don't need to reboot the Bat. We just had a wonderful trilogy, we don't need a new series right now. I think they could have him be part of World's Finest and Justice League without the need of actual previous movies. In Batman '89, he jut randomly popped up as Batman, and it was fantastic. He can do that once more.

Also, keep Bale away from the role. Yes, I loved his work in the trilogy, but I don't think his Batman works the same way a Justice League Batman works.

He was hurt by dogs. How is he going to fight off Brainiac, or Darkseid ?

On the other hand, i'm sure they could come up with a way to explain it. While the other Justice League members are off fighting fantastical villains, Batman is fighting off Lex.

Why do u need batman for? When u have the overpowerful Superman, get flash, WW, and green lantern.
A guy who flys and is powerful, some one who carries a ring that can do everything. A guy who is faster than light.
And then batman who can do martial arts O.o lmfao!!!!! Well for BO than yeah I guess.

Of course I would like to see Bale return and the Trilogy being canon cause like you guy's said it would be easy to make it work. It would also be box office gold, but the thing is that Nolan is done with it and Bale wont come back if Nolan don't ask him to. But that wont happen.

I like the idea of WAYNE ENTERPRISES being involved, not necessarily to rebuild Metropolis but rather to act as the mysterious industrial partner who just signed an exclusive deal with Lexcorp to aid in the building of a deep-space probe.

Man of Steel is more of a sci-fi flick than a superhero film, and I think that this played to its advantage. While a reference to Oa from Jor-El’s history lesson in the scout ship wouldn’t have gone unappreciated, Krypton felt real, had a history, and was taken seriously. David S. Goyer has said that this is a “first contact” story, and I think that the sequel should further delve into this idea.

Therefore, with the public worried about their own well-being after the revelation that they are not alone in the universe came to destructive fruition, this is a perfect opportunity to introduce the manipulative Alexander Luthor into the equation. This new probe project would have underlying whispers throughout the whole film, but we wouldn’t SEE anything from the project until the next film World’s Finest, where Bruce Wayne, the CEO of Wayne Enterprises comes to Metropolis for an impromptu progress report…

CASTING:
Bruce Wayne...

Armie Hammer

He has the look of a billionaire playboy and could easily bulk up for the role, and his voice (with a little added smoke) could potentially be the definitive on-screen, live-action Batman voice. He has shown a great deal of range in his acting ability, from dramas to family films, and he will show us all his capacity for ass-kicking in next month’s “The Lone Ranger”. Also, with Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill replacing Tom Cruise in the upcoming WB film “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”, one might believe that they are testing the waters and seeing how these two actors’ chemistry plays out on the big screen…

Lex Luthor...

Bradley Cooper

Now, I was an initial skeptic when rumors started flying around about Cooper being featured in a Man of Steel cameo as Lex. Up until then, I had only seen him in comedies and didn’t believe that he possessed the acting ability to be able to play the vile and manipulative, yet suave and dashing villain. However, after seeing “The Place Beyond the Pines” I have complete faith that he DOES possess the acting chops and could do something really special with the role!
