While it's almost getting to the point of being boring, here is yet another excerpt from an interview with Zack Snyder. Having been pumped for every single bit of info imaginable, he still manages to make some interesting points about making Superman a character that the audience can relate to.

"That I’m saying the word Superman is crazy. I can’t tell you how secret we are. I think, in the end, our big challenge is making Superman relevant, making him relatable and interesting. Dimensional."

"I want people to be able to go, ‘I would have done that if I were Superman. That’s right.’ In the sense that I can empathize with him as a personality, I can empathize with his decision-making in the same way that you can with characters in the movies that you love. Part of it is, you get why Superman feels the way he feels because you would have felt that same way."

At the Los Angeles premiere for Sucker Punch, the actress briefly commented on being cast in the new Superman movie as well as what it'll be like portraying the Man of Steel's mother.

"It’s going to be a wild ride."

"I’ve always wanted to raise a good man. I thought that was the biggest challenge a woman could have, and so I get the embarrassment of riches."

Wow...he just keeps on repeating the same stuff in every interview.

From now on, I'm just going to skip all the interview articles with Snyder until he actually says something interesting and new.

As for Diane Lane, glad again that we finally have a milf in a Superman film ;P

I'm surprised none of the 'moles' out there in hollywood can't find JACK about this film.

There must be some way. We won't hear anything new from Snyder. Can't MTV or some other company try to get the good info another way?

Or if we can at least get word from an insider at WB. It happened with the Deadpool script i remember over at Fox before. I'm sure the same can happen with WB...we need a leak of some kind. The waiting is ridiculous.

You're getting really f*****g annoying now Hack, I mean Zack. I've watched previous Superman films and thought "I would have done that if I were Superman" (even the not so good ones). You're not doing anything that hasn't been done before Zack. Get over yourself.

This guy has run out of things to say, so he's just making out his Superman film is going to be the ultimate Superman film. Sorry Snyder, Richard Donner already beat you to it. He made a timeless classic. Will you be able to say the same thing about Watchmen in 30 years. No? I didn't think so.

I reckon Snyder's Superman will be "average", but average is worth a cinema ticket at the end of the day..

I can absolutely live with statements like this from Snyder. This is how you make Superman "relatable."

Followed up by Diane Lane's (always a classy dame btw) "I've always wanted to raise a GOOD man" is exactly what I wanted to hear.

Although, I'll admit I'm still worried about the term "relevant" who could be more relevant in our world than Superman. He is everything we need right now.

@BIGBMH

Yeah totally agree we need a new origin that paints Clark Kent as the real person with his smallville upbringing as major reason for him being the great man he becomes.
