About.com caught up with film maker Zack Snyder on the Black Capet of his new film Sucker Punch where he was asked a series of questions about his up coming Superman movie.
If Gerard Butler will be in the film.
"Oh, no one knows anything. No, I can't say."
As a follow up Snyder had this to say about getting Butler in a movie though.
I'm trying to write that Xerxes sequel... I'm trying to write that 300 sequel so you'll get some Gerry action probably."
He then stated he was
"Neck Deep" Working on Superman adding:
"It's great fun; it's great to work on. I love the characters so it's not like work, but, on the other hand, there's a lot I wish I could tell you."
Snyder then elaborated even more on why Henry Cavill was the right choice for Superman.
"You know what Henry is? I'll tell you. The reason Henry's the right guy is because even though Henry's a man, he's a big guy, tough, cool-looking, handsome I'd guess you'd say, but he has that kindness in his eyes that makes you believe that he cares."
I think that the Butler rumor has legit shot at being true. When Snyder was asked about the Mortenson rumor he said no, but he is playing this one a little closer to the chest. Maybe it is because this one is true, or maybe it's because he is just trying to keep mystery involved in it still.
The Man Of Steel is tentatively scheduled for a release in late 2012.
