Chloe and Oliver Are a "Go" on Smallville

Smallville has begun to tease this, Allison Mack is confirming it, but is this a good thing?

For some time now, Chloe and Oliver of "Smallville" have been hinted as a future couple. After their "moment" at the end of "Warrior," it's become evident and has made some wishful thinkers very happy and other people want to raid the set with very angry signs.

Allison Mack talked to TV Guide about the relationship.

TVGuide.com: What kind of relationship are Chloe and Oliver going to have?

Mack: Oliver and Chloe are both coming from very similar mindsets and they're very professional. A relationship that develops out of those types of people is never one of softness or romance. It's a really interesting dynamic because both are aware that the most important thing is their mission in the world, not their relationships. They have a very strained and secretive relationship, which is similar to Clark and Lois, but they don't have the softness or the romance that Clark and Lois have. It's very fun, it's very mature and very secretive, strategic and interesting.

This makes me personally very upset. Oliver is obviously still in love with Chloe's cousin Lois and Chloe...well, her marriage with fake Jimmy went south for reasons other than Davis ramming a metal pole through his gut.

I don't see the point in hooking up Chloe with a character destined to be with someone else. Hopefully the writers will crush the dreams of Chollie fans instead of letting them be like the Clanas and believe that "Smallville" would destroy everything iconic about the comics.
