An upcoming episode of "Smallville" entitled "Disciple" will feature Steve Bacic as the mentor to Green Arrow's skills in archery. He'll be playing a character named Dark Archer. It is uncertain if this is the same character as DC's Merlyn the Archer. Merlyn inspired Queen to pick up the bow and arrow. In the comics Merlyn became one of GA's arch-enemies.

Damn Merlyn on Smallville is a weird idea. You'd think they'd save him for a Green Arrow spin-off. They're really delving into the Green Arrow story this year, hopefully that means that a spin-off will come.

I can't see the picture either.

This could be pretty good. I just hope they stop making green arrow act like an emo thirteen-year-old lashing out at his parents. But this could be pretty good...
and a green arrow spin off could be pretty cool. Justin Hartley is perfect for the role of a young green arrow.

Everyone is in Smallville!!

It's funny though because it seems that they've run out of ideas so they're introducing all the characters we know and love..

But on the other hand: They're trying to be more true to the comics by introducing said characters!

I'm happy either way :-) I still like Smallville lol

Multi @ I don't want WELLING on the big screen lol, im ROUTH! main problem with WELLING would be they'd be no way of putting DOOMSDAY up there if he got the role after [frick]ing up DOOMIE in the last season of SMALLVILLE! Though the show is getting its magic back, i think CW/WB knew they [frick]ed up.

This season's smallville is actually doing pretty good, i'm actually getting entertained again(finally). Plus yesterday's episode had some good memorable moments esp Oliver queen scene with Tess, he acted really really hurt and sad filled with guilt of the "death of lex". i was pretty entertained, but they need to get out of the night scenes a lot more, it makes it to "dark" for the characters esp Clark.

This just shows that the writers (read: idiots) of Smallville are quickly running out of new and original ideas hence why they've put him in that Matrix type costume and are throwing in cameo after cameo! Still, at least its a bit better than Season 8 was so far..!

I hate to say this but Justin Hartley has way more charisma
and way more acting chops than Tom Welling! That's why I
don't think Welling would be good for a Supes movie!

Plus what you guys say, don't want anybody from Smallville's
universe to act in Superman's movie universe, keep 'em
separate!

THEY OUGHTA DO A JUSTICE LEAGUE TV SERIES SHOW..WELLING AS SUPERMAN, KEEP DURANCE AS LOUIS, SHES EYE CANDY AND THE BEST LOUIS HANDS DOWN..WOULD'NT IT BE AWSOME TO SEE ALL OF THEM IN FULL REGALIA AND COSTUMES COMIC FANS WOULD HAVE A CONIPTION SEEING?

LEEE777: I AGREE WITH YOU 110%...I've been saying for awhile now that this (SMALLVILLE)isnt the Superman we know and love. That being said I dont want to see any memeber from smallville especially Welling as Superman on the big screen. As far as all of these characters they're introducing on the show look at what they did to Doomsday...need I say more.
Dont get me wrong I like the show it's just not Superman from the DC universe nor any of it's supporting characters. What they did with the Legion was o.k. because they didnt really do anything. The JLA and the Watchtower if at best FUNNY.

DDD: JUST a couple days ago I posted the two main characters in my opinion are Lex and Oliver. Lex is m.i.a so I believe if Ollie isnt featured as much season 9 will tank(IT'S HAD A GOOD RUN WELLING pulled of the Im discovering my powers, teen love thing)but as an adult Clark Kent he just doesnt have it...he's whinny and boring.
