The CW continues to bait Superman fans with hints and glimpses of the iconic red and blue outfit.

It's no secret that this is SMALLVILLE's final season. It is also no secret that The CW has been teasing fans of the show with little hints and split second glimpses of the famed Superman costume that so far, has not been worn by Clark Kent. Well, now we have yet another tease in the form of a promotional image released to TheSOURCE from The CW.

The tenth and final season of SMALLVILLE continues Jan. 29th at 8/7c on The CW.

Nice one HAWKS! That's a cool teaser, but I'm sure that shot of Superman is just the Brandon Routh image from Superman Returns they've used, the tight bastards. Still, shouldnt really be that surprised when they photoshopped Erica Durance's head onto Kristin Kreuk's body for a promo a few years back. :P

He shall not wear the iconic suit. He is unworthy by all accounts. If there is one show I dispise more than Family Guy its this. Terrible! Terriiible! The only good thing is that its Smallville's final season, so on that account: yeaaaah!

Sweet! it does look like they photoshopped Routh's bod in there but it looks like they messed with the colors a bit to make it more of the red and blue instead of the maroon shite returns gave us.

@Superguy- Calm down with the Routh hate. This is a great poster and I can't wait until the show starts back up. Let's see him be Superman before the last 2 minutes of the last episode.

cant wait for this to start back up again. i sure hope that he is superman for the last few episodes....third to last he putes it on and then i hope that for the last two if they dont do a two hour finale then let it be two episodes of the same type. i cant imagine them not doin a solid two hour finale after a ten year run.

It really is too bad about producers deciding to use the SR suit. I could live with it if there were some modifications, but if it is 'as is', that will be a big disappointment. Welling and the fans deserve something better than that Singer travesty. It would be really nice if they had him suit up for at least the last 4 or 5 episodes, but somehow I just don't see that happening. I'm thinking it will be the last episode, maybe last 2 if we are lucky. I guess at least Welling won't need all the padding that Routh had in the suit, haha.

I can't wait for Smallville to end and the new Superman to be announced so that I never have to listen to the unrealistic ramblings of another Welling fan ever again!
The guy is awful and will never be the bigscreen Superman for two simple reasons:
1) He can't act well enough
2) He type cast himself into one incarnation of 'less than SuperBOY' that can't possibly be reconciled with a movie
Can't wait to have someone good in the role :)

Sorry Bruce, but have you actually seen Routh act (I really hate using act and Routh in the same sentence)? He has been lifeless in EVERYTHING he has been in. I believe I have seen him "act" in 5 different things and it has been the same in each instance...lifeless. As I've said before, calling Routh's acting wooden is an insult to trees.

YESS! Welling is my generation's superman. The show started when I was 11, so I've grown up with the guy... I think it was a smart choice to keep it Clark-Kent-centric, after all, Superman... just isn't that interesting of a character, whereas with Kent, you can make him have real, human problems.

This could have been one of the most awesome posters ever. Simply remove Welling and replace him with an ACTOR who is actually portraying SUPERMAN. This should have been saved for the movie, not wasted on this low-grade television drivel.

I agree about Cavill.He looks spot on to me.As for Routh,I feel he got a bum deal in terms of story and director.He was unfortunately too reminiscent of Reeve.That man can never be replaced and should not have been immitated.Reeve is my Superman so far,but not the Superman I've always wanted.When I get that Superman you'll hear me laugh all over the world! :)
