"Smallville" Season 10 - "Fortune" (How do we do?)

Smallville's 'Fortune" episode breaks away from the seriousness and provides good fun.

What if Superman drank champagne, passed out, and woke up in the morning with no recollection of what had happened the night before?
I’m sure he would have to turn on C.N.N. in order to see how much global havoc he might have caused. Has the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty changed spots? Are the great pyramids now circles?
For those Smallville fans that watched the latest episode entitled “Fortune”, we received a real treat as they broke away from the “Darkness” and created an episode that allowed us to witness the actors break out of character and provide some real fun.
Call it a “filler” episode, call it what you want. It was a pure joy to watch.
Tess Mercer singing on stage with Emil (dressed and Elvis) was a complete turn around from the proper and collected personalities that usually surround these characters.
Oliver Queen proved that he is not just a ladies man but can be a lady as well while dressing as a Showgirl in order to escape the clutches of Amos Fortune.

It was fun to watch these actors break out of character and completely let go.
Cassidy Freeman (Tess Mercer) is no stranger to the stage.
She was a singer in the band “The Real D’Coy”.

With only a few episodes remaining in this series, I am thankful that we could witness a celebration of sorts. With the constant pressure that has weighed on this series, I am sure that is was not hard for the actors to let loose.
The seriousness will continue next week, but I will always remember this episode as one of my favorites throughout the last ten years.
