Allison Mack's Smallville costars have remained mostly tight-lipped ever since the actress was sentenced to three years behind bars for her role in the NXIVM sex trafficking scandal, but Tom Welling (Clark Kent) has now broken his silence... with a little joke at her expense!
Welling appeared alongside Erica Durance (Lois Lane) for a panel at Fan Expo Vancouver over the weekend, and offered some updates on the Smallville animated sequel series we first heard about last June. Though the actor didn't share many new details, it sounds like Durance and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) are on board to provide the voices of their respective characters, and Kristen Kreuk (Lana Lang) and John Glover (Lionel Luther) are strong possibilities.
Welling also noted that "It might be tough to get Allison" while discussing the cast members he hopes to see return.

Mack, who played Clark Kent's best friend Chloe Sullivan in all 10 seasons of Smallville, was sentenced in June 2021 after being charged with recruiting new "sex slaves" for the cult's leader, Keith Raniere.
The animated spinoff is expected to pick-up right after the events of the series finale, but it sounds like development is still in the very early stages.
