Smallville & Supernatural Back Together! CW Releases Official New Season Descriptions

Everyone knows now that Smallville is in it's last season but does the new schedule hint the end of Supernatural as well? Included are the official CW description of both of the shows new seasons!!!

Apparently CW has decided to go back to the pairing of Smallville and Supernatural, only this time on Friday nights. Which, most of the time, is a bad sign. Granted Smallville seemed to beat the odds this season but still. I must say this schedule change is making me wonder if the CW doesn't have much faith in Supernatural like they have been saying.

I mean since movie releases come out and weekend activities, usually, begin on Friday I would think if you wanna keep a show going and get your money's worth you would keep the show where it's proven to be strongest, which is Thursday. Or maybe they do have faith that Supernatural will beat the odds and the fans will keep bringing in the ratings on Friday and they are filling that ever changing Friday 9pm slot with a show they know will be reliable. Whatever the case, this is starting to make me feel like maybe this may be the final season of 2 of my favorite show. Also, I am pretty damn annoyed with this change. I loved my Thursday night schedule and now I have to wait an extra day to watch Supernatural?? Bastards...

EricIGN on Twitter tweeted a quote from Tom Welling about the re-pairing of the two shows.
EricIGN-"We're paired up together again, and one way or another, we're going to save the world" -Tom Welling on #Supernatural airing w/ #Smallville

What are the other fans thoughts? Please try to refrain yourself from bashing both Smallville and Supernatural...

SMALLVILLE: Season ten promises the classic reuniting of the timeless romance between Clark and Lois, and brings Clark face-to-face with his destiny as he overcomes his final trials and forges the iconic identity that will be known for all time.

SUPERNATURAL: Season six will be a season of mystery and shadow. Heaven and Hell have been left in complete disarray since the apocalyptic events of season five. And now, monsters, angels and demons roam across a lawless and chaotic landscape. And so Dean Winchester, who has retired from hunting and sworn never to return, finds himself being pulled back into his old life – pulled back by none other than Sam Winchester, who has escaped from Hell. The two reunite to beat back the rising tide of creatures and demon-spawn, but they quickly realize that neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn’t what it used to be, and that nothing is what it seems.

P.S. This description of Supernatural is making me think Castiel will definitely be back! HOORAY!

I think that Supernatural is going to be okay. I was worried as well when Smallville was moved to Friday and yes I did not watch it on that day because recorded every week and would watch it on Saturday. The funny thing is I would watch it Saturday morning with a bowl of cereal which reminded me of the old saturday morning cartoon days.

I am both sad and happy that the are saying this going to be the final season because at least they are planing for the 10th season to be the last. The means they can wrap the series off right unlike some shows that get that last minute message that their current season is their last season and do not end on a good note.

I'm expecting both shows to end after next season. While nothing has been confirmed for Supernatural, Jensen and Jared have gotten more famous over the years and are probably getting more movie deals. Plus their contracts end next year.

They may not have announced it yet, but this will almost certainly be the final season of Supernatural as well. Hell, the fifth season was supposed to be the final until The CW decided it was doing too well.

Also, Friday is usually the place where shows go to die, correct, but Smallville has prospered in the spot. It's broken Friday records with The CW, so they're happy with it. Now that it has a good lead-out with Supernatural, they should both blossom pretty well for their final seasons. :)

I'm glad both are back together again but I miss when they were on Thursdays x/

hopefully CW hasn't lost faith in Supernatural
I had just gotten used to the Vampire Diaries show going on before Supernatural too!

Does anyone else remember when Supernatural was one Tuesdays?! haha

oh yeah I got this theory that maybe Chuck isn't God or a prophet.....but what if he's Jesus! O.o
I mean Mary of Magdalene is an important figure in Jesus's life and she was hinted in the Season finale of Supernatural

Hearing this description has gotten me excited for season 6! I would've been okay if they left the season finale as the series finale but I know Sera Gamble ( the new show-runner who has been on the show since the very beginning) is going to do a great job.
