Superman: Unbound is coming to Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and For Download via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on May 7, 2013. WonderCon/Anaheim will host the World Premiere of Superman: Unbound in
late March.

Based on the Geoff Johns/Gary Frank 2008 release “Superman: Brainiac,” Superman: Unbound finds the horrific force responsible for the destruction of Krypton – Brainiac – descending upon Earth. Brainiac has crossed the universe, collecting cities from interesting planets – Kandor, included – and now the all-knowing, ever-evolving android has his sights fixed on Metropolis. Superman must summon all of his physical and intellectual resources to protect his city, the love of his life, and his newly-arrived cousin, Supergirl.

The film’s stellar voicecast is led by Matt Bomer (White Collar) as Superman, John Noble (Fringe, The Lord of the Rings films) as Brainiac, Stana Katic (Castle) as Lois Lane and Molly Quinn (Castle) as Supergirl.

Supervising Producer James Tucker (Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) also directs the film from a script by Bob Goodman (Warehouse 13, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns).

It looks good, but am I the only one that thinks Superman's head is too long? His chin just looks too narrow and skinny to me...

I liked it better when they stuck truer to the art style of the comic they adapted (New Frontier, Public Enemies, Batman Year One). This doesn't look anything like Gry Frank's art. If they don't do that, then why keep changing the style at all? It just makes more work.

Then again, it's a good thing Dark Knight Returns doesn't look too much like the comic.

This looks pretty good, I'll probably buy it. There's only been acouple DC animated films I didn't care for, mainly the new frontier.

Never read Superman: Braniac, but it does sound like Morrison used the exact same story in the first Action Comics arc of the Nu52.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

Finally!!! Nic Cage is Superman! This is the moment that I have waited for since the early 90's. Well, I really haven't been waiting for it, but it's here anyways.

On a side note, it's good to see Gusto and grif back in the comments.

Jollem@ Why would you steal it when you can download it for free?
UK street date? Never. They can't think that there's a market for these awesome movies in the UK. Even though, everytime I go into the DVD stores to ask if they have one on the day of their release the vendor always tells me that I'm like the 30th person that day to ask about it. There really is a market, in the UK. These researchers really need to do their research. You'd think it would be in their job descriptions.

Jollem@ It's making digital copies. The only thing you could say it steals is the monetary value of a hypothetical sale. That's stealing something that doesn't exist. But then, if you don't download it aren't you just robbing yourself of the movie that you would've potentially owned?

Nah, but seriously, dowloading is stealing. You can argue that the artists hardly see much of the profits from their work, most of it goig to the corporations.

Still stealing tho

But what if you just have a really good memory and can play the film over and over, in your head, but don't own a copy? Is that stealing? Or if you can recite a poem? Kind've a grey area, if you ask me. It's not a physical copy that the distributors have made, it's not the original print and it's not the legal rights.

100 bucks this is better than the real life one coming out. DC animated movies are amazing and I love them all. The real life ones ... well thats another story

You mean like for a 3D printer? I might download a '69 GTO,'76 Trans Am or how about a 1966 Batmobile, yeah.

Oh, I wait and buy these vids, btw.
