“The Teen Titans”, also known as the New Teen Titans and TITANS, is a comic book superhero team who appear in comic books published by DC Comics, often in an eponymous monthly series. As the group's name suggests, its members are teenage superheroes. The theme of teenagers learning to take on adult roles and responsibilities was common throughout the series.

Deadline reported that DC will add another show to their small screen universe in Titans, a new cable series coming to TNT. Academy Award winning writer Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend) penned the pilot along with Marc Haimes (The Last Word). The site says that, "Titans revolves around the eponymous group of young Super Heroes-to-be from the DC Universe. The action series centers on Dick Grayson (probably best known for his alter ego as Robin), who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new Super Heroes including Starfire, Raven and many others."

The series explores young metahumans and there journey to find themselves. These aren't superheroes, not yet anyway, as the entire first season sees them trying to save themselves. Though stopping a few thieves or getting a few felines out of trees will pop up every now and then, these characters are emotionally and mentally (for the most part) human. These characters are relatable. Unrealistic characters in a realistic world. This isn't Smallville. It's not the team going up against a new villain every week. It's a long ass movie that was split in to a lot of parts. These characters and this mythos have never been done like this before. Pulling elements from Teen Titans, Young Justice, and the comics of the same name; Titans is a new story with familiar characters. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the pitch...

DISCLAIMER:
I'm not taking in to account ANY rumors or confirmed news on the Titans show. This is a theoretical show and what I believe to be the best option. Thank you.

Jackson Hyde is the oldest member and the "leader" of the team. He's the most serious out of all of them and is most experienced with his powers. When he was little boy he lived in a beach house with his mother. One night, during an enormous storm, his mother was killed by a strange man in weird, scaly, oceanic armor. The last thing he remembers about that night is the man approaching him. He woke up the next day with a dead mother, the bloody (and wet) helmet of the man, and two objects in his hands that looked like the handles of a sword. Ever since then Jackson has displayed marvelous abilities, all related to water, and is able to make water constructs with the objects that he calls "water bearers". He's lived alone his entire life, and he's never felt lonely. As long as he was near the sea he was fine. He's lived in many places, and doesn't stay in the same place for a long time, but has never been far away from a large body of water.

He was apprehended by Checkmate when he was on the California coast. He saved a female surfer from a large shark by lifting the shark up with a tornado like funnel of water and launching it into the sea, then he bent the waves so that they pushed her back to shore. Though his acts were very heroic, he didn't hide it as well as he usually does which caused the Government to come knocking at his doorstep. Since he got to Checkmate he's felt lonely. Not because he was the first one their and was alone for a period of time, but because he's felt farthest away from the water than ever. Almost like there's none anywhere near him.

P O W E R S

AQUATIC ADAPTION:  Tempest has the ability to breathe underwater with gills that slit on the sides of his neck to extract oxygen from the water.Contact with water appears to bring the gills out along with giving him webbed hands and feet.

ELECTROKINESIS: Tempest has the ability to generate electricity. His electrical control is not as refine as his control over water, meaning he does not create constructs of electricity. His electric shocks are transmitted either by touch or through his water constructs. He can conduct all forms of electricity through their bodies, created or not, making them totally invulnerable to electricity, no matter the voltage.

HYDROKINESIS:  Tempest has the ability to to shape, manipulate and control water in his immediate vicinity. To help him with this abilitiy, Tempest uses his water bearers. These help him channel the water in to specific shapes or he simply uses them to focus a blast of water in one area.

ENHANCED ABILITIES: Tempest's body is physically superior to a humans. His strength, stamina, durability, senses, and reflexes are all enhanced. He's also able to swim at an incredible speed and sees perfectly clear through any water, whether the clearest or the murkiest.

"Franz Alhusaine Drameh (born 1993) is a Gambian British actor. His film debut was in Clint Eastwood's fantasy drama, Hereafter. He also appeared in British film Attack the Block and the 2014 blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow."

Franz Drameh is Tempest/Jackson Hyde. Franz Drameh is just the person I'm looking for, based off of his performances in Edge of Tomorrow and Attack the Block. Drameh has shown talent in both films and even though both of those roles were not very similar to this character, he has enough talent to do something new. Drameh would buff up some for the role.

Below is a 15 minute short film starring Drameh. It won many awards.

A R S E N A L   /   R O Y    H A R P E R

Roy Harper is the second oldest member of the Titans. He is cocky, sometimes rude, likes to have fun, and doesn't take shit. Roy was raised by a single mother. Since he was young she's put him in combatant sports and gymnastics. Roy doesn't know why, but doesn't question it since he loves it. He doesn't know his father and his mother always spoke of him as the best and worst man she's ever met. She says that Roy takes after his father. Roy never cared about knowing his father and sees it as his fathers loss for not being in Roy's life. Roy's been trained in many different fighting styles and weaponry, but his favorite has always been archery. He's an expert marksman due to his ability too "feel" exactly how to aim anything at any target. He doesn't know why his gut feelings are so damn accurate, but they just are and he's thankful for it.

Roy, unlike the others, was not taken by Checkmate after a public showcase of his abilities that sparked worldwide attention, but they showed up at his doorstep one day, knowing of his abilities. He knows that he has special abilities (naturally always staying fit, slightly enhanced physicality, his "feelings"), but how did the Government know? His mother was sad, but she seemed to be easily accepting of the situation and sent him off with them. Once Roy got to Checkmate, they began to enhance his abilities. Instead of being an Olympic level gymnast, archer, bodybuilder, runner etc. they pushed him past human limits. His feelings were explained and now instead of having an impulse to fire an arrow in a certain area, he sees the formulas showing the trajectory, force, distance, acceleration, and everything else that shows him exactly how, when, and where he should shoot it. Almost like his eyes are Iron Man's heads up display.

P O W E R S

Speed / Reflexes: Roy's mental faculties are accelerated by a factor of 2, allowing him to think and perceive 2 times faster than normal humans. His advanced intellect (which allows him to literally see the equations of a present situation) allow him to see how fast he needs to dodge, how hard he needs to punch, how fast he needs to run, how high he has to jump etc.

Strength: Roy's muscular system is hardened and strengthened, not only enabling him to lift more weight, but making it harder to hurt him with blunt force. His endurance and pain tolerance are also above human levels. He's not bullet proof and a blade will cut in to him, but both of these weapons wouldn't sink deep as in to his skin as it would a regular human.

Advanced Intellect: Roy's intellect allows him to see the equation being solved as if he were actually seeing it. This makes him understand mathematics at the most complex level including biological maths, chemical equations ,probability and permutation. This suggests that his intelligence could be part intuition.

Healing Factor: Roy has a slightly accelerated healing factor which enables him to recover from physical injuries faster than most humans. Though it has limitations. He can not regenerate body parts that are completely separated from the body, but he can reconnect bone (if held steady in the right place for the right amount of time). He also can close open wounds and large blood loss is not as much of a problem for him, but without proper treatment he cannot heal his heart and will die if fatal damage is done to his brain.

"Gabriel Basso was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He is an actor, known for Super 8, The Kings of Summer, and The Big C."

Gabriel Basso is a great actor. His performances in Super 8 and The Kings of Summer have convinced me that he has serious talent and range. And after seeing clips from The Big C I'm further convinced of his acting ability. I think Basso could do an excellent job and would bring all of his heart and soul in to it.

Raquel Roth is the quietest of the bunch. She's not shy, as if she needs to say something she sure will, but doesn't just talk to talk. She's mysterious and no one knows of her past, mainly because no one's asked. She's the only one that truly knows of her past. Not a lot of it is revealed in this season.

Raquel was taken by Checkmate when she had a breakdown in public. Think psycho, bipolar, schizophrenic breakdown with super powers. It was a struggle to apprehend her, as she fought back, but they managed to do it.

P O W E R S
TELEKINESIS: Raven relies on the ability of telekinesis, the ability of moving inanimate objects with only one's mind. Ranging from being able to move smaller items such as books to, while under stress, being able to move two multi-story buildings at once. Her telekinesis is visible, and appears like black energy. She also uses it to push back opponents/use as blunt force, and to incase herself in an aura of her telekinetic energy and fly.
SOUL-SELF: Raven's soul self is when she takes the shape of a huge black bird, or multiple smaller ones (as seen later in the season). She does not use it regularly, as it takes a lot of energy. Normally Raven uses her soul-self as a means of attack and containment of her adversaries within it, or as a scout for the rest of the team. Being contained within Raven's Soul-Self has often proven traumatic if she chooses as they come face to face with their own worst nightmares.
PRECOGNITION: Raven has limited precognition which allows her to predict future events that are about to happen. She displays it when she was able to predict that her and her friends would be used for bad things. However, she cannot control this ability and use it whenever she desires, which is why it is only limited, as it only happens randomly.

the full range of her powers is unknown

"Hannah Marks was born in Santa Monica, California, USA, but raised up the coast in San Luis Obispo, where she began acting in theater at the age of six. She's had recurring roles on shows like Criminal Minds, FlashForward, and Grimm. She also played the role of Tammy in Runaway's, alongside Kristen Stewart."

I chose Hannah Marks because she is an incredible talent. She's an underrated young actress who deserves more roles. I think she could bring the intensity needed for this role and could do it exceptionally well.

Koriand'r is an alien princess, turned slave, from the planet Tamaran. She was born to king Myand'r and Luand'r, and is the younger sister of Komand'r. Tamaraneans are born with the ability of harnessing solar energy and using it for flight. Oddly, Koriand'r's older sister was not born with that ability. People always focused on Koriand'r because of this and ignored Komand'r, despite her being the eldest. Because of this Komand'r fakes her death to join the Citadel Empire (enemies of Tamaran). Her death was mourned for a little bit, but was overshadowed by her younger sisters outcry for her at Komand'r's own burial ceremony! This outrages Komand'r and she gives the Citadel detailed information on the Tamaranean defenses. The Citadel uses these to attack. Koriand'r is saved by escaping on a Tamaranean escape pod. She leaves, as she watches the Citadel fleet invade her home planet. She crash lands on Earth's moon and is stranded, until she realizes that the earth's sun gives her even more power. She flies off of the moon and down to earth in barely any time at all. Once she gets to earth, she uses Tamaranean espionage bracelets to make herself look like a human. She befriends a group of "nomadic" stoners that confuse her name for Kori Anders.

Koriand'r was found by Checkmate after an incident with her group of friends. She accidentally revealed her orange skin, green eyes, and other alien features to her friends. They freaked out, ran away, and called the police. The police came and tried to apprehend her but she easily took them out with her powers. She was soon on the run before Checkmate caught up and captured her. She still wears the bracelets. None of the other metahumans at Checkmate have seen her real appearance.

P O W E R S

ALIEN PHYSIOLOGY: Starfire's body continually absorbs ultraviolet radiation, which she then converts into the energy that powers her starbolts and her ability to fly. Starfire can also store a massive amount of this energy to use all at once in a devastating attack (as seen later in the season). Such a massive release of energy leaves Starfire in a greatly weakened state afterward, so she only resorts to this attack when absolutely necessary. It is not known that Starfire breathes, but she does not need oxygen. Her senses are much more honed than humans. Starfire's alien physiology also grants her immunity to gases natural to earth and possibly some other planets.

FLIGHT: Starfire has the ability to fly at great speeds through both the atmosphere and interstellar space. Her long curly hair leaves behind a fiery red contrail during flight, which makes her hair appear even longer than it really is. The flight ability is common among her race, so common that they find it odd when a child is born without the ability.

ENERGY BLASTS: Starfire can generate energy blasts and release them from her hands or eyes (as seen later in the season). These "starbolts" are very powerful and can even break through a wall of concrete. She gained these abilities once she began to absorb the UV rays of the Earth's sun. She can release these at different temperatures, "densities", and sizes.

OMNI LINGUAL: She has been able to mentally or psionically learn languages such as English or Japanese through physical contact allowing her to communicate in it with ease being omni-lingual. When she first arrived to Earth, she mistook various animals as the dominant species' of the planet, so she made contact with a lot of them. Now she can communicate with animals verbally.

"Maiara Walsh was born on February 18, 1988 in Seattle, Washington, USA. She is a Brazilian American actress, known for The Starving Games, Cory in the House and Zombieland. She's also known for playing Ana Solis on the hit ABC drama Desperate Housewives."

Maira Walsh would make a great Koriand'r / Kori Anders / Starfire!!! She could bring the right blend of innoncence, badassery, and sexiness, needed to Starfire. She's also so gorgeous, a must have for this character.

Garfield "Gar" Logan is the jokester of the group. Being the youngest, he has the most positive outlook on life, though that doesn't mean he's always optimistic. He deals with his pain by laughing at it, and everything else in the world. When he was 12 (four years ago), he went on a trip to Africa with his zoologist parents. After an argument, he ran off in to the forest. Gar gets tired of running and rests when he stumbles upon a strange rock. It's green and has strange carvings in it. The carvings in the rock start shining a bright green color. He hesitantly touches them and there's a flash. He wakes up tied to a stake in the center of a tribe of people. They wear what seems to be ceremonial masks that resemble different animals. All green. They preform a ritual on him. In the midst of the ritual Gar passes out. He wakes up on the ground in a clearing in the forest. He realizes that it wasn't a hallucination and that he IS green and fury. He runs back to his parents and they don't recognize him at first, but he explains to them that it's him and they calm him down before he's shot with a tranquilizer. He wakes up in a cage being tested on by his parents and their colleagues. After many test Gar gets angry, transforms in to an Elephant and storms out the place. He goes on the run, from his own parents.

Gar was found by Checkmate after being pick pocketed in downtown . He chased after the pick-pocketer as a cheetah and when animal control showed up and found that it was a human (sort of) Checkmate got their hands on it right away and had him within a matter of days. Gar wasn't too opposed to the idea though. He wanted someone to help him with his powers.

P O W E R S
SHAPESHIFTING: Beast Boy has the ability to morph into any animal he knows of. He can change into extinct animals and even animals on different planets. When he changes the changes only take a couple of seconds. It doesn't matter how big or small. He can change from a tick to a T-Rex in seconds. It puts no strain on him to do this. He can stay in an animals form indefinitely. He can take on the shape of animals without limbs as well, such as snakes or worms. Two times he has changed into multiple animals such as a swarm of fireflies and a group of barnacles. When he changes into an animal he gains all of that animals abilities, such as the sonar of a bat, or the strength of a elephant, the speed of a cheetah. Following the reboot, he has gained the ability to take on numerous animals aspects at a time including antenna, a tail, and scales.

"Zachary Gordon was born on February 15, 1998 in Oak Park, California, USA as Zachary Adam Gordon. He is an actor, known largely for his role in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies and for his roles in various other television shows and movies."

Gordon would do great in the role of Beast Boy. He has a great sense of humor, but could also bring the weight that comes along with this character. Zachary Gordon talents are wasted on shitty movies like the one below.

   S T A T I C   /   V I R G I L   H A W K I N S
Virgil Hawkins was pulled in to the street life by his older brother. He never was a  big proponent of it, but feels like it's a necessity. After his Mother died his father has been very distant, his sister has built a reputation as a "thot" at school (when she shows up), and his brother has become even more immersed in the street life (pulling Virgil in with him). One fateful night, the gang Virgil's involved in went to the docks where they planned to attack their rival gang, which stayed at the docks, as revenge for killing 5 of their members in a drive by. Virgil went along with them, but in the midst of the fight he decided to sneak away. Before he could leave the cops showed up and immediately started unleashing tear gas and bullets on the gang members. This subdued them all, Virgil made it out of the docks, but definitely consumed the tear gas and passed out on his way home. He woke up the next morning in his bed, his covers stuck to him. After wrestling to get out of bed and in to the hallway, he heard his sister and father crying. He goes in to the kitchen to find a police officer telling them that his brother had died of exposure to the dangerous new tear gas. Other people began to mutate in to monstrous creatures, some gained metahuman abilities, but most died. After gaining some control over his electric abilities, Virgil vowed to use them for good and turn away from his gang life.

Virgil became a vigilante for Dakota City, the only Titan to have experience as a hero. He became known around the city as a hero and a villain, protecting innocent people from "bang babies" (metahumans given their abilities in the "big bang" as Dakotans call it) who've decided to use their powers for crime. Virgil was approached by Checkmate after taking down a bang baby. They said they would help him become an even greater hero if he went with them. He ran it by his Father, who says he can go, and leaves with them to the Checkmate facility.

ELECTROKINESIS: Static has the metahuman ability to project, channel, generate, manipulate, and absorb raw electromagnetic energy, mainly being able to generate electricity from his body and fire powerful lightning bolts from his hands. This allows him to cover his fists with electromagnetic energy and employ this tactic in the use of melee attacks.  He can also charge objects with electricity to cause them to explode. When using vast amounts of power, his eyes might begin to glow and give off electricity as well. This ability also allows him to conduct electricity through various conductors. How is this effective? Let's just say you shouldn't cross him if you're in contact with copper.
ELECTROMAGNETISTM: He can generate magnetic shields from his body in order to protect himself from bullets, and other metallic projectiles; repelling them. He can manipulate magnetic fields and magnetically lift metal objects, sometimes weighing many tons (anywhere from cars to helicopters). Static uses a reinforced piece of steel (that he got form Checkmate) to fly at up to speeds of 200 mph, controlling it via electromagnetic levitation.  He also generates electromagnetic energy to cling people and/or objects to surfaces, dubbing it a "Static-Cling."

"Jaden Smith was born on July 8, 1998 in Malibu, California to Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. He is an actor and a rapper known for movies like The Pursuit of HappynessKarate Kid, and (infamously) After Earth."

I know what a lot of you are thinking right now. "Will Smith's horrible son who has the nonsensical tweets." I bet there are some who skipped this entire section of text just to rant about how he wouldn't be good. I know this casting seems to be the one that everyone on the internet uses and hates on at the same time. I cast Jaden as Static in this because he has talent. Not only do I enjoy his music, but he is a talented actor. After Earth seems to disprove that statement correct? Wrong. Think back to that shitpile of a movie of last year (or two years ago depending on when I post this). Was Jaden Smith the only person who gave a bad performance in that movie? Most definitely not. His OSCAR WINNING father wasn't that great in the film either. He was better, but that doesn't knock Jaden down. His dad has 36 acting credits, Jaden has 7 acting credits, unless you count each episode of a TV show they've appeared in. If you count those, then Will has 186 credits and Jaden has 13. Of course his Dad would be better, but his Dad wasn't good in the film. No one was. The actors and actresses were too focused on getting those weird ass accents down which also makes them monotone and always serious; thanks to le Shamhammer.

In his 2011 film Karate Kid he was great, especially for his age. Even critics that didn't like the film said he was good in it.

Jaden Smith, being the son of one of the most powerful actors in Hollywood, doesn’t really extract the sympathy that his character should. He comes off as a bit cocky and a big shot. His struggle never really resonates with the audience. While he is entertaining to watch I just don’t think he was well suited for the role. He’s not a bad actor he just doesn’t fit the role. Smith has the same charisma as his father and is very watchable but never really makes us sympathize with his situation. He just has to much charisma and swagger that he never seems vulnerable. - Matt Joseph

No question, young Smith, who was 11 at the time this current film was shot, is a gorgeous kid, with his mother's delicate features and his dad's swagger. He is always watchable in this expensively designed vehicle, as he does his own stunts, dances, delivers quips and offers a convincing impression of a pocket-sized movie star. - Liam Lacey

Jaden Smith, the 11-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, is lithe, compact, impressively athletic, and full of self-confidence, just the opposite of the gawky, shambling Macchio. As a performer, Smith is a bit of a show pony, with his father's habit of deploying charm as a defense. But just like Will, this even-fresher prince gets away with it 90 percent of the time. - Dana Stevens

Jaden Smith is now officially a star. Sure, he's appeared onscreen before, in "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and with his dad, Will, in "The Pursuit of Happyness," but this is his first time carrying a movie. As Dre Parker, the corn-rowed new kid in town, Smith exudes more unfiltered charisma than the entire cast of "Marmaduke" - counting humans and dogs. And that face. It registers every emotion normally processed by children and a few that aren't, including saintly levels of compassion and stoicism. - Amy Biancolli

(The first two critics gave the film Rotten on Rotten Tomatoes)

You can't just lose those qualities, especially since he naturally has them. If After Earth had a better director and script then Jaden would've probably been better. Your argument might be that he did well in the role because he was basically playing himself in a way. Your point is valid. Maybe he is only good at playing himself. That doesn't mean he's wrong for this casting though. Why? Because the Static I know does have swagger, charisma, is "fresh", show boaty, and even shows compassion as well. If he can do it once he can do it again.

E P I S O D E   G U I D E

EPISODE 1:
Jackson, Roy, Kori, Raquel, Gar, and Virgil go on with life as usual at Checkmate. Training to help better control and enhance their metahumn abilities, and finding out more about themselves and their peers at the facility. Life at Checkmate seems to take a turn for the worst though when Gar overhears some bad things from Amanda Waller and Henry Stein about their plans for the young metahumans. On top of that, Raquel has a vision that even further proves what Gar overheard.
EPISODE 2:
The Titans fear the vision of the future Raquel had in the last episode and don't know what to do. They make a plan of escape from the facility. Amanda Waller is informed of their plan to escape and makes sure that she's prepared for it. The team almost makes it out but as they enter the plane found in the hangar, Checkmate agents storm in the room and surround them. There's a battle, damaging the hangar substantially but they're saved by Gar who storms in as a jolly green dinosaur and helps a lot. They tried to leave him behind by giving him wrong directions, but the battle gave him time to catch up. He doesn't realize this though, and thinks he misunderstood. The team get in a really sci-fi looking plane and fly out the hangar to realize that their mission just got a little more complicated. The facility....is in space....
EPISODE 3:
As the team tries to pilot the plane, something goes wrong and as they enter the atmosphere they lose control and take a dive towards the earth. With the combined help of Kori, Raquel, Virgil, and Jackson they land the plane (kind of) safely. Once they all wake up they analyze their situation and realize that not only are they stuck in the middle of nowhere (by a spring on a beautiful mountain), but that Checkmate will be coming after them soon enough. Tension becomes stronger between the characters more than ever, as Roy and Gar duke it out and Kori's extra-terrestrial secret is revealed.
EPISODE 4:
The team decides to leave their mountain spring to find civilization, something they haven't experienced in a while. After a long period of walking (as our two fliers haven't completely restored their energy yet), they come across a large Church towards the bottom of the mountain. Though they are provided with food and shelter, Jackson notices that something's off with Raquel. They treat her differently, almost like royalty. They look at her differently, and she tries to avoid contact as much as possible. He asks her what's going on and why she brought them there? She tells him that she was brought up in large part by this church/cult. She realizes that it wasn't a good idea to bring them there and they leave before something bad could happen. Right after they leave, Checkmate shows up looking for them and are pointed right in there direction.
EPISODE 5:
After encountering Checkmate at the bottom of the Spanish mountains, the team hitches a ride on a boat across the Mediterranean and try to get as far down in to the continent of Africa as possible, catching a plane ride over the Sahara. On the flight their plane is shot down and crashes. They assume it's Checkmate and plan to keep an eye out for them for the time they're stranded in the African forests. This reminds Gar a lot of the place where he gained his powers, and we're opened up to the mind of Gar. They make it to a nearby town where Gar believes he spots his parents, but he doesn't go after them. He doesn't think they'd like to see him. Gar gets in to a fight with Jackson, causing him to run away back to the forest. This is when he's ambushed by Checkmate, and we really see Gar kick some ass! He returns to the team and tells them that not only did he kick Checkmate butt, but that he seized their plane in the process.
EPISODE 6: Virgil suggest that the team head over to his home town of Dakota City, where they have one of the biggest metahuman populations in the world due to the "big bang". He knows of places where they'd be safe for a little while. They had over there and we're introduced to some of the "bang babies" (good and bad) and we get to meet Virgil's best friend Richie. A tech genius that helped Virgil become Static. They stay at a place on Paris Island that's safe for them to be. While they have to deal with a few punks like The Blood Syndicate, they like it there and plan on staying for a little bit. This is all until Checkmate decides to show up and ruin everything. After the biggest battle with Checkmate they've had yet, they realize that it's not safe for them to stay, as it'll endanger the metahumans of Dakota City. The team decides that it'd be better for them to split up instead of traveling as a group. Richie gives them communicators/locators so that they can stay in touch while gone. There are 3 groups of 2: Jackson and Gar, Kori and Rachel, and Roy with Virgil.
EPISODE 7: Jackson and Gar end up on the shore (Dakota City is on the east coast. It is the city closest to the island of Metropolis) and we get some insight on how Jackson grew up. This is a very flashback heavy episode. Jackson and Gar begin to connect on another level as they both realize their similarities. Both of them grew up for a long time without adult guidance and took care of themselves. That's why Jackson is so stoic and serious. He decided to take the role of an adult. Gar however, felt so much pain that he tried to suppress it with silliness and fun. He stayed a kid. They both teach each other lessons. Jackson learns that he can lighten up, and Gar learns that he could take things a little more seriously. It ends with them fighting (and losing to) Checkmate agent Slade Wilson / Deathstroke. They are apprehended and taken to the U.S. Facility.
EPISODE 8: Kori and Raquel flee to a small island off the coast of Dakota City. It's reminiscent of where Kori first landed. We get a look in to why Kori thinks like she does (attributed to her stoner friends and her Tamaranean upbringing). Raquel finally understands why Kori decides to be so optimistic and free, as opposed to Raquel's pessimism and seclusiveness. This is another flashback heavy episode, until the peace is interrupted by Deathstroke showing up taking the both of them.
EPISODE 9: Roy and Virgil don't go too far and head over to Roy's hometown, Star City. They take a look down memory lane and see the extensive training Roy went through growing up, though Flashbacks aren't as prevalent in this episode as the past two. When they get their, they discover that in Roy's absence, his idol and inspiration Green Arrow is now presumed dead after going missing after a battle with Merlyn. He sees that there's more crime on the streets than there was when Green Arrow was around and asks Virgil if he could show him around the vigilante business. The two begin to go around Star City fighting crime, as Static and Arsenal. When they think they're about to stop a major drug operation, they realize that it was trap and they now are in battle with Deathstroke, the Terminator. Deathstroke was noticeably quiet in the other two battles, but becomes more vocal in this one. Especially with Roy. This battle lasts a little bit longer than the others, but ends in the same result. Defeated and captured.
EPISODE 10: The 6 wake up captured by Checkmate in the U.S. Facility right outside of Blüdhaven. Checkmate is going to place chips in the back of their heads which will allow them to control the young adult metahumans. Before this can happen though, the team escapes in a big elaborate plan. Right once they think they're home free they're greeted by Checkmate agents and Deathstroke. We begin to dive in to the fight of the season. Deathstroke is too strong and smart and has beat all of the team, except Roy. The two have a rematch, a great one at that. Jackson steps in to help, but they still can't beat the super soldier. Deathstroke eventually defeats the both of them once again. With Jackson unconscious, Deathstroke approaches a weak Roy with his long blade. He says to Roy "It pains me to do this. We were having so much fun, but I cannot let this happen again." He lifts his sword, "Goodbye, my s-" He's interrupted by being knocked to the ground from behind. Deathstroke gets up to see an Escrima stick on the ground. Where did it come from! Deathstroke turns around and catches the fist of none other than Nightwing! The two have a lengthy fight, better matched than any of the other battles. In the end Nightwing comes out on top, rendering Deathstroke unconscious long enough to get the others out of there. They wake up in Nightwing's base at the top of a tower in Blüdhaven. He explains to them what he did for them and why. He also says that he wants to personally train them to use their powers not only well, but for the right cause. The team doesn't want anyone to boss them around anymore. Nightwing says "Trust me, I know what it's like to be bossed around. That's why I'm my own man today. You're not my sidekicks, you're my team. We're on the same level, but for right now I'm the leader, due to more experience." So the 6 decide to stay, when Gar says that if they're gonna be a superhero team they need a name. "What should we be? Young Justice League...Nightwing and his Bitches...The Outsiders....Kick-Ass Kids....Chosen Children..." When Jackson steps up and says "What about Teen Titans?" They all seem to like the name when Nightwing says "Drop the teen" and the episode slams to the title.

We get a view of earth from space when something zooms pass the camera. It heads towards earth at rapid speeds and lands in the dessert in the middle of nowhere. The object is revealed to be a pod and the pod opens up. Inside is a young man dressed in nothing but white underpants to cover his genitilia. He's muscular and masculine and there's a red diamond on his chest with an "S" inside. The camera closes up on his face as his eyes dart open, glowing red.

D E S I G N   G A L L E R Y

TEMPEST / JACKSON HYDE

Jackson should dress like he's going to the beach when he's not in his uniform. Though it's not showcased here, he'd wear a lot of shorts and tanks (as you see). He has tatoos that appeared on his arms the day he got his powers and light up when he uses them. When Checkmate asked him what he wanted for his suit, he decided to embrace his aquatic powers.

ARSENAL / ROY HARPER

His look was inspired by the new 52 look in some ways, the hat in particular. However ultimately it was changed up largely. It's kind of showy, which is what I intended, and he LOVES Red and Black

RAVEN / RAQUEL ROTH

Raven needed to still be gothic and dark, but I didn't want her to wear her robes around everywhere. So I went for a more normal, yet still strange and unique, look for her. I was going to keep her skin color normal as well, but I felt like it'd be more powerful for the character to be outcast even more by her skin color.

STARFIRE / KORI ANDERS / KORIAND'R

In her human disguise, Kori should be the apple of any mans eye. She still needed to look cute and pretty more than sexy and hot. More of an Ariana Grande than a Meagan Fox. Still she needed ot be attractive, as that's how she designed her masquerade. Her true self just looks badass. Not only sexy, but intimidating at the same time! The tatoos are ceremonial on her planet and when you do certain things or achieve certain milestones you get new ones. Her eyes also glow green when she uses her powers. The bands shine green when are in use, and are red when not. The idea for the bands came from this design, because at first I just thought they were cool.

BEAST BOY / GARFIELD "GAR" LOGAN

Beast Boy likes to wear leopard or cheetah print t-shirts and other accessories, as you can kinda see by his shirt. His skin is definitely furry and not just green. That sets him apart even more than Kori or Raven in the appearance department. His suit is basic and based on a lot of his costumes over the years, but the color scheme ended up being the newer one.

STATIC / VIRGIL HAWKINS

I took some inspiration from past suits for Static, but I decided to go for something very new. Concepts from older suits I kept were goggles and the hood, but other than that I went free. I dropped the yellow from the suit and used it in his casual appearance as a sort of homage. This is my personal favorite design. Street and futuristic at the same time!

DEATHSTROKE / SLADE WILSON

Deathstroke has to look badass. Simple as that. He has to look intimidating, scary, powerful, and well armed. I tried to make the mask something we've never seen before, and took elements form multiple different suits for inspiration. The big ones were his suits in Nightwing: The Series, Arrow, and Arkham Origins. Those were the most badass out of all incarnations (IMO) and I wanted mine to look as badass as their's!

NIGHTWING / DICK GRAYSON

Nightwing doesn't get much of a redesign, as it's not needed. His suit is pretty simple and should stay that way. His mask is now a little more like goggles now, with blue lenses. His escrima sticks, which he's holding, produce electric shocks.

Thanks for reading my biggest editorial yet guys! This took a long time to make and has a lot of my sweat blood and tears put in to every word. Make sure to comment your thoughts on my ideas and your own ideas. I didn't plan on being a TChalla and releasing multiple Editorials in a short period of time, but I finished this today after months and I HAD to share it with you guys. Nice article. You put a lot of thought and work into it. I don't entirely agree, but I got to give you a thumbs up on it. Your idea is close enough to the comics and changed just enough to work for t.v. Good job.

Holy shit @Kong - the gauntlet has indeed been thrown down! This looks beautiful.

It's 2am in the morning here and I feel like to skim it now would be to not do it justice, so I promise I'll be back to read this properly tomorrow. However, you get a pre-emptive thumbs up just for appearances alone.

How about Leon Thomas, from Victorious, for Static? He certainly can play the age of Virgil. He does look more like Static because of his dreads and he's bigger and more stocky then Jaden. Plus he's more used to the tv business then Jaden is.

Don't agree with everything, but damn this is well written. Most I want to see come out of this concept is that you understand who the Titans are.

While the premise reminds me a lot of Teen Titans: Earth-One (which I was not a big fan of of), this is some pretty good stuff.

Hopefully, you do more of this. You're really good at it

Wow. What a read. Damn best pitch editorial I have ever read in this site. The concept is original, but it stays true to the source material. The characters are all very well-established and juxtapose onto one another in an efficient manner. The story is phenomenal in itself and the ending is perfect.

Again, fantastic job, man. Hopefully we can get Kid Flash in on the team for Season Two! Also, would your TV Series be intertwined with the CW Universe, or will it be a separate universe/dimension in itself?

but since this is very sleak-looking, well cast, and whatever html codes you used they aren't as compact or succinctly edited as mine and thus it isn't an exact counterfeit, so I can safely say this is just a tremendously ambitious article in its own right. the one thing I noticed wrong with Pasto's Xerox job is the info he copy+pastes from DC Wikis isn't properly edited down to avoid redundancies, but it looks like you took the time to proofread your entries to only include the pertinent facts. I just have a question about the banners though, did you manually widen the edge of the image like that? because I use a program.

@NoTucks2Give

If you're talking about what I think you are, then what I did was zoom in to the point where each pixel was big. Then I selected the very last pixel and moved the selection up so that I get all of the last pixels on the far right of the image. Then I copied it and stretched the copy. Then I copied the stretched pixels and repasted until it wasn't translucent and were the colors of the original image.

TucksFrom2015
TucksFrom2015 - 3/15/2015, 12:35 PM
Kong - yeah thats how I've always done it, I lied about using a program just to appear one step ahead of the competition. its definitely the most tedious part of image manipulation, like laying bricks, and I'm surprised someone else had that kind of patience. As for the entire article its very informative, I had no idea or what "thot" stood for, or that Static Shock's sister ever exhibited "thot-like" behavior. Points for an UrbanDictionary portal! I really dig your lineup (Arsenal, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Static with Tempest as the leader) and I can sense some interesting dynamics going on between them. It reminds me of a pitch I came up with in 2008 for a darker continuation of the Teen Titans animated series, with a more traditional anime handdrawn style.

Its where Brainiac kills the Justice League so all the sidekicks inherit their responsibilities/respective rogue galleries. Robin inherits Gotham City and forms a new Titans lineup with Cyborg, Ravager, Miss Martian, and Kid Devil. Ravager replaces Raven as the girl w/ an evil dad, Miss Martian replaces Starfire as the naive hot alien chick and also replaces Beast Boy as a green shapeshifter. Kid Devil replaces Raven as a demon spawn and Beast Boy as the team's kid brother, same dynamics basically. Their new Titans Tower was built out of one of Gotham's bridges that got blown to bits, forming the shape of a lower case t. Bane ended up doing the something similar in TDKR, and Teen Titans Go! is a better step forward for that universe so I ended up dropping the pitch altogether.

Lhornbk
Lhornbk - 3/15/2015, 1:28 PM
Umm.....yeah....not really feeling this. For one thing, Roy Harper is already on Arrow and will probably stay there (and if he does go to Titans, I bet they use the same actor.) And why do we need to see him viewing vector equations inside his head? And I don't think you go a whole season and only see Nightwing at the end. Plus, this whole "evil government agency/conspiracy controlling metahumans" plot device is getting old. Nice effort, but I'm just not buying this.

That's actually a pretty good idea! You should go along with it.

Kid Devil might show up on this show too. Maybe next season, if not the one after.

Wow this is great writting, best editorial ive read on here seriously. I known itd take awhile to write it but if done into a show I think itd be good for 23 episodes.
id introduce nightwing in the midseason finale with little teasers along the way and then have him be a regular after that n co leading the team with Tim drake.
I dont know if I'd put arsenal and starfire though ( imagine how amazing a redhood and the outlaws show would b on netflix being dark n gritty) so id take them out and static too but have static as some one they go to from time to time for a help ( a reserve member). Id add Red Robin, Donna troy, and Emiko ( olivers sister in the new 52/ futures end green arrow) or mia dearden. Also someone who didnt have powers but a super tech genious who operated as an oracle character for them out of the base Nightwing would set up from them after in the midseason premier.

Also have rose show up with slade, throw in a batman n wonder woman cameo too..maybe some other smaller name dc heroes n villains.

Second season: bring on superboy

@InhumanArrow

Nice ideas. I went with the characters I did because I wanted a variation never seen before. I also wanted to write my favorite young adult DC characters.

I didn't want to overload with super powered characters, the budget would already be big enough, but Donna Troy would be cool. Smaller name DC Villains, Rose, Superboy, and maybe Red Robin will show up in Season 2. So if I do write that up you'll get to see how I use them.

For the Oracle character I didn't include one this season this is very much an origin story. They aren't a "team" until the last 10 minutes of the season finale. Season 2 Nightwing won't go on every mission with them and might serve as an Oracle somewhat, but another one of the characters becomes more of an Oracle in a way you probably didn't expect.

you know one time I had a idea that they would introduce the sidekicks have them in a young justice movie then in time when the actors of batman, superman, flash etc expires have them take the mantle of their mentors like robin becomes batman superboy becomes superman kid flash becomes the flash instead of rebooting everuthing
