Let's be honest, there probably isn't a single person -- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan or otherwise -- that's too crazy about what they've heard so far about the upcoming Michael Bay produced reboot, and I can't say I blame them. But we can be very fond of writing off movies before we've so much as seen any footage from them around these parts -- is it possible we're being too harsh? Former Aquaman Alan Ritchson certainly thinks so.
"The frustrating thing for me since I've signed on is that you hear that it's already got a reputation. I think people assume they know what it's going to be about, and those people are wrong. The assumptions, everything you read online is wrong. You want to tell everybody how great it is, and you can't really say why, but it is."
The Jonathan Liebesman directed movie recently began shooting in New York, and Ritchson describes a little of what the experience has been like for him so far, while hinting that there will be scenes involving only Raphael and April.
"We're running around Manhattan, me and Megan Fox, her looking wonderful and me looking like some kind of ant with cameras all over my face, he tells THR.
"We're learning a lot of the fight choreography. We've got these unbelievable stunt trainers that work us every day to the bone. It's been a great process."
