Leaked! LEGO Sets Based On Michael Bay's TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

New image of LEGO's upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets based on Michael Bay's live-action film. A film that is coming out in six months and there still isn't any official trailer or even images.

Hard to believe that the Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot will open in theaters in less than six months, yet we haven't seen a teaser trailer or even an official image. I'd hate to see the film's release date get bumped back yet again (Christmas 2013 to May 16th to June 6th to August 8th) but something seems amiss. Most of the other big-budget films coming out this summer have released full-length trailers, launched websites and released numerous posters and stills, yet TMNT has released nothing. Not a drop. The time to panic is soon approaching.

Alright, so instead of focusing on what we don't have, let's focus on what we do. We've seen leaked: promotional poster, maquettes, concept art and toy figures. And today, we have our first look at three new LEGO sets based on Bay's upcoming live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film.
The sets are the Turtle Van Takedown (79115) – 368 pcs/$39.99, Big Rig Snow Gateway (79116) – 741 pcs/$69.99, and the Turtle Lair Invasion (79117) – 888 pcs/$99.99. - thebrickfan.com

NINJA TURTLES will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman ("Wrath of the Titans"), and produced by Michael Bay ("The Rock"). The script was written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, based on characters created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The cast includes: Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Danny Woodburn as Splinter, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Will Arnett as Vernon and William Fichtner as Shredder. It lands in theaters August 8, 2014.

The Rock somehow needs to be in a sequel for this since he's not in the first one.

@wbrowning79

All of us want to see a trailer.
Whether to cheer or deride it, we want to see what they did with the Turtles.

This one still has me worried. I was never a huge Turtles fan to begin with and this has done nothing to make me excited. Maybe when the trailer comes out......

So this totally looks like it'll be named Ninja Turtles, this annoys me slightly. Because if it was named the full TMNT then why would Lego plaster Ninja Turtles on it. I can't believe I've cared this much about TMNT, but I'm done caring now so it's okay.

No trailer at this point is not a big deal since its a tail end of the summer movie. Paramount's Hercules movie directed by Brett Ratner and starring the Rock comes out a month before this and is a huge release for them but still has no trailer either. Sin City 2 and Expendables 3 all come out the same month and no teasers or nada for those movies too. Stop making this out to be a big deal, it isn't.

By the time the summer begins, you'll have trailers galore for all he kids to wet their appetites and start bugging their parents for money to buy merchandise.

@seantwakafilmyguy - If you look closer at the larger poster next to the toys it says "Teenage Mutant" in smaller letters above "Ninja Turtles". All the logos on all the toys have the same full title, its just the "teenage Mutant" part is too small to see on those low res pictures.

Not a TMNT fan at all, never caught my interest after they sold out the concept from the original comics but this new movie has peaked my interests.

Judging by the bottom lego set I think that mutagen may be a big part of the movie and bot just in the turtles origin.

isnt this old news? I remember seeing these pictures at least a week ago. I Remember reading that the people who make the action figures already had printed out the "Ninja Turtle" logos for the sets that they would release, and Lego waited and printed the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" after the title was confirmed. That's why there's such a mix up in the pics being leaked now.. But the movie is indeed called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". That was confirmed months ago, but people are still crying about it.

So, might be going out on a limb here but....

1. Wasn't there a picture of a black pickup truck with a "Donate Blood, Play Hockey" sticker spotted on set? A similar looking truck to that in "Big Rig Snow Getaway"

2. There "appear" to be two, yellow-faced characters included in the "Big Rig" set.

3. Doesn't that little guy in the "No Photos" kiiinndda look like he's wearing sports equipment? Or a lego equivalent thereof?

What do you guys think? Simply speculation? Casey Jones? Lego Racism?

Random thoughts:

- Last I knew the studio was calling the film "Ninja Turtles." Back in April 2013, someone saw a logo assuming it was for the film but the studio wouldn't confirm the change and is still referring to the movie as "Ninja Turtles."

- I'm not shocked the ooze figures prominently since this is a reboot and Bay famously mentioned the Turtles' alien origin, which is a direct reference to the mutagen. (From the comics but not the previous films.)

- People expecting trailers earlier and earlier will have to adjust their expectations this year, not only because of the CG characters involved but because theater owners are now putting limits on how long trailers can be (under two minutes) and how soon they can hit screens (four months before the release). These changes won't hit until October 2014 and won't keep studios from releasing whatever they want in other venues (online, TV) but it's something to keep in mind going forward.
