Sneak Peek Of New TMNT Series; & Nickelodeon Comments On Jason Biggs' Vulgar Tweets
Nickelodeon's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television show will debut in a few weeks, and to get you interested they have released a sneak peek. It features their first introduction to pizza.
At the end of last month the Republican National Convention took place. Mitt Romney, the presidential nominee of the party was paraded around along with his wife Ann, and his vice presidential choice, Paul Ryan and his wife, Janna. During the event Jason Biggs went on a vulgar tirade tweeting inappropriate comments toward Christians, Paul Ryan, Ann Romney, Clint Eastwood, and Janna Ryan. I deemed the tweets too offensive to be posted here, but you can view them at The Blaze.
Biggs' tweets seem more like something Stifler, of his popular American Pie franchise, would've wrote, and less like an actor that was just hired to voice a character on a children's show. What makes things even worse, several days later the account used to promote Nickelodeon's Turtles series encouraged followers to check out Biggs' twitter page. The offensive tweets have been deleted and Nickelodeon has issued a statement:
“Nickelodeon does not support or condone the use of graphic or vulgar language on any of our platforms. It was our mistake to link from our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles twitter feed to Jason’s personal twitter account, and we quickly corrected our error. We also insisted Jason use better judgment and discretion in public communications while affiliated with our brand.”
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The series will debut on Nickelodeon, Saturday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. with two episodes shown back-to-back. The voice cast includes: Jason Biggs (Leonardo), Sean Astin (Raphael), Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), Rob Paulsen (Donatello), Kevin Michael Richardson (Shredder), Hoon Lee (Splinter), and Mae Whitman (April O'Neil).
