Sounds Like 'Casey Jones' Won't Feature In TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Reboot

According to a source for Geek Tyrant, the fan-favorite character won't so much as get a mention in the Michael Bay produced reboot; with Will Arnett's character seemingly filling that gap as a foil for April O'Neil (Megan Fox). Read on for more.

We had all probably figured as much since no actor was ever announced as being cast in the role (though these things can sometimes be successfully kept a secret) but Geek Tyrant reckon they've confirmed that Casey Jones will definitely not be making an appearance in the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. They cite a source "very close to the production" as revealing that the character played by Will Arnett, Vernon Fenwick, has had his role expanded -- presumably to compensate and give April O'Neil (Megan Fox) someone to bounce off. So not a HUGE surprise, but disappointing nonetheless. One bit of potential good news is that the movie's action will apparently be "over the top greatness, comparable to The Raid". A silver lining? Only time will tell.

I'm predicting this will be a box office flop on the level of RIPD or Lone Ranger. Michael Bay doesn't get to overload a movie with special effects, explosions, and Megan Fox and get away with it. We've seen all that before.

I'm so torn on this movie. I want to see it fail based on what little I know of the production and the decisions they've made. But I really want a good ninja turtles movie too.

Maybe he'll appear in the sequel where they can truly flesh out the charter.After all he's not a key character in the turtles origin story.By I mean the origin can be told with or without his involvement.

This will do good no matter what. Live action Turtles always came out in March I believe. If they go buy the original series which was very gritty it might be good.

Get Elias Koteas a wig, a mask, and a hockey stick. He'd still make a kick-ass Casey Jones. Screw the April romance crap and just play him as a grizzled, older vigilante. In all mediums (apart from comic books) he has still played the best Casey Jones ever. The old cartoon was over the top, the 200x cartoon made him far too dumb, the cg-movie he seemed wimped out and the new cartoon he isn't defined fully yet so I'm not making assumptions yet.

Regardless Elias Koteas IS Casey Jones.

I am officially done with this movie. I don't know why people have hope in this film with Michael Bay producing it. It seems he is taking more control on the creative decisions than the director. Every 80s franchise is slowly being ruined now.

I just finished the first season of the animated series...MAN did I miss-judge that show.I absolutely love it,kinda makes me want to hope this movie is good...I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

If they had let Casey Jones within a mile of this abomination I would have ranted to Yonkers and back, and I'm from Chicago. Far as I'm concerned, the Casey Jones fan film is already better than this turd-le soup.

So replace Casey Jones A popular character who's in almost every version of the franchise with Vernon Fenwick, a flamboyant cowardly jerk who's mainly known for one cartoon series. Yeah that makes perfect sense.
