TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Returning For Fourth Season; Seth Green To Join Series

Nickelodoen's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be back for a fourth season on Nickelodeon airing in 2015! The animated series hasn't even finished airing it's second season (with a third to be released later this year) but execs at Nick are confident that the show will maintain it's popularity and have ordered a 20 episode-long series. The studio had this to say on the future of the show:

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been a global hit, maintaining impressive numbers across the network's ratings and our digital and consumer products platforms," said Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon's President of Content Development and Production. "While new episodes will continue to debut on Nickelodeon, we look forward to propelling the momentum with a fourth season for our loyal fans.

On top of that, Jason Biggs ("American Pie") will be replaced as the voice of team leader Leonardo in the upcoming third season. Comedian Seth Green ("Family Guy") will take over the reigns. Thanks to CBM's TheFirstAvenger for finding the source!

This version of TMNT is better than the early 2000's TMNT.

The show is great actually. I don't watch it a lot due to not really spending my free time to watch it, but when I get the chance I never change the channel that's for sure.

I really enjoy this series. Having grown up watching the original 80s series and having read the original graphic novel, seen the movies and watched the 2003 series, I just love how it takes from all these sources and makes it all work and still feel like a fresh series. It's so much fun and really enjoyable.

Love this show. Just wish they would release full seasons on bluray or DVD. I can only find a few episodes per DVD.

I grew up on TMNT in the 80's and as much as i love that cartoon this series may be the best iteration of the turtles i've seen. Yeah, they've changed some things, but so has every other version including the original cartton from the source. Glad to here the show is continuing.

This show is the PERFECT example of how you re-boot a nostalgic franchise: balance nostalgia with new, fresh ideas but still respect all other iterations of the franchise. My biggest problem with the 2003 series was that they were trying to separate themselves from the Turtles legacy instead of embracing all aspects of it. So many of this series characters are great examples of new takes on old or underdeveloped characters like The Mutagen Man, Baxter Stockman, Slash, and Anton Zeck and The Russian guy from last episode. But they also do NOT shy away from adding brand new characters that are equally as fleshed out. Neutralizer, Tigerclaw, and Fishface come to mind. But despite those drastic changes, here is what works: The Turtles remain unchanged. Their personalities are still the same from the 80's series and the original movies. The same goes for Shredder and Splinter (though they add a tad bit of a change to Splinter's backstory ...that works really well with the rivalry the two had throughout the franchise). Recommended for any fan of the movies or 87 series to check out at least once ...especially if you have kids because they will enjoy it just as much.

This show is VERY well done. Plenty of nods to the old series (which is entertaining for me) and my son absolutely LOVES it. Extremely well done.
