'Barry Allen' Is Trapped (Within The Speed Force?) In New Images From Kevin Smith's Episode Of THE FLASH

Veteran filmmaker Kevin Smith returns to television next week for an episode of The Flash, but it's going to be a very unusual adventure for Barry Allen as he finds himself trapped in an alternate reality.

Last night's episode of The Flash ended with a real shock as Barry Allen was disintergrated from Harry's attempt to recreate the accident which gave the Scarlet Speedster his powers. Rather than leaving us all thinking he's dead for the next week, The CW has revealed that Barry is instead trapped in some sort of alternate dimension, one which many believe could be the Speed Force. How he's going to get out of there (and what will become of Wally and Jess after being blasted by the explosion) isn't addressed in the images below, but see what clues you can figure out by going through them. Those scenes by the grave definitely seem to take place in the real world. Or not! We'll find out soon.

With Barry (Grant Gustin) gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy – Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life. Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Zack Stentz.
