FLASHPOINT Star Kiersey Clemons Is Unsure Which Time Period Her Iris West Is From Due To Time Travel

It's been reported that Kiersy Clemons' scenes in Justice League have been cut from the movie and while the actress hasn't said anything about that while promoting Flatliners, she does address her role as Iris West in Flashpoint (seemingly confirming that Warner Bros. isn't going to recast the role). Confirming she's received the script, the actress has made some surprising - and confusing - remarks.

Asked about how her Iris will differ to the one played by Candice Patton on the small screen, she said: "Because of going back and forth past and future with The Flash, you don't even know what time period you actually meet Iris." Wait, what? Common sense says that Flashpoint will jump all over the DC Extended Universe's timeline but what exactly do these remarks mean for the journalist's future?

Well, perhaps she's someone Barry encounters in the future as opposed to his present? It's hard to say for sure but it definitely doesn't sound like Flashpoint will tell a linear story; then again, if you've read the comic book the movie is based on, you'll know that it's far from a regular superhero tale. What do you guys think of Clemons' tease? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Sounds like Flashpoint haha definitely a confusing quote but I would assume the Flashpoint story is equally confusing to someone that's not a comic book reader

Maybe because depending what time/year or even timeline, Iris's personality or character can change.

She's obviously from the time where they reboot the DCEU by having Flash go back and save Robin. This creates an alternate timeline where Batman works with Superman to defeat Zod, Jimmy Olson lives, Clark Kent doesn't die, the Joker doesn't take on his Instagram gangster persona, Lex Luther doesn't know the secret identities of the Justice League, and ... oh forget it. It's too much.

My purist ranting aside, if we get to see Negan Batman I will seriously freak the hell out.

@Ha1frican -

Hands down the coolest iteration of Batman mythos in any alternate timeline anywhere. Unfortunately it's a lot like the BvS "cruel and criminal" Batman who lost Robin and won't have the same impact for the GA. But I still want it.

what does that even mean lol im GUESSING that considering shes being asked about Iris in relation to Candice Patton that shes saying we dont know at what point in her life the version from the film will be in. We maybe see multiple versions of Iris throughout the movie like one where her and Barry arent together vs. the future where they are married idk though
