Earlier today, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced the Digital and Blu-ray release dates for The Flash (more here), and a full list of the special features that'll be available on all formats was included.

Now, Collider has debuted an exclusive first look at a new featurette, which takes us behind-the-scenes of the movie's extensive pre-production.

In addition to interviews with director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti, we get to see how The Scarlet Speedster's new costume was created. Andy says that although he did like the suit Barry Allen worse in Justice League, he felt that being friends with Bruce Wayne for a few years would naturally result in Batman giving him a few upgrades, so a new look was required.

As divisive as The Flash proved to be, most fans would probably agree that the suit did look pretty cool!

"Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash features Barry Allen traveling back in time in order to change events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to help. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian…albeit not the one he’s looking for.

Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?"

The Flash is produced by Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco, with a screenplay by Christina Hodson, and a screen story by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein and Joby Harold, based on characters from DC. Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Double Dream/a Disco Factory production of an Andy Muschietti film.

Easy, they just copied Joel Schulmacher's rubber costume in Batman Forever and Batman/Robin then removed the nipples.

Let the film die. Bury it.

Is this the full thing featured in the extras? If so -- seems lame to dump that stuff online when you could make people buy it to see it. Or is this normal?

In other news....

INDIANA JONES 5 is toast.

As of Monday it earned only $3 million domestic and $252 million worldwide.

If it stays in the box office for the standard 45 days that give it 34 more days of box office, but if it keeps dropping the way it's dropping it might be lucky enough to pull $1 - $1.5 million per day.

Going with $1.5 million we are looking at about $51 Million more domestic and maybe double that worldwide. So maybe $100 million more overall.

That puts my projected total at about $352-$375 million, and that's assuming a constant earnings of at least $1.5 million every day until the end of the 45 days.

Most likely it will drop even further so it may not even hit $350 million.

The entire production cost of the movie was $329 million approximate.

It needed at least $900 million to break even. Lucasfilm is taking a bath on this.

And NO Stories on this MAJOR news story. Why not?

What say you @natebest

@TyrantBossMedia - Deadline has talked about how this has done poorly numerous times.

@thedrudo - But this site hasn’t. I’m curious as to why they are so quiet.

@TyrantBossMedia - It's not a comic book movie, and this site is kind of pro Disney.

@Th3Batman - That "not a comic book movie" doesn't hold up. Nate has debunked that years ago.
This site reports all movies not just comic book movies otherwise they wouldn't report on Oppenheimer.

And before you say RDJ is in Oppenheimer and he was in a comic book movie. Harrison Ford is in Cap 4 and Mikkelsen was in Doctor Strange.

But the 2nd part you wrote was right. This site CLEARLY has a pro Disney bias.

@TyrantBossMedia - Obviously the users don't care enough to post about it... You obviously do, so why not take a crack at it?

I, personally, haven't seen it yet myself, although I want to. There are just too many other things that I would rather watch, so I'm waiting for its digital release.

I think it's an issue of too little, too late. My kids don't even know who Indiana Jones is, which is sad to say.

@TyrantBossMedia - There is no *approval" process. Anything that gets posted shows up. There are some automated things in place to prevent spam, porn, etc., but it's all automated.

Appearing on the homepage requires someone to move it there, but you're in luck as I'm the only one with the ability to do so. Based on what I've seen you write just in the comment section, I don't think it would be an issue. Just shoot me a message if you post and I can take a look.

EZBeast
EZBeast - 7/12/2023, 3:45 PM
@TyrantBossMedia - thanks for the update! But this site usually is more “positive” with Disney/marvel projects so it’s rare too see too many articles posting negatively about it.

However a big reason I’d say is because of Josh’s hate boner for the film (to his credit I despised the film after seeing it) by posting constant articles (possibly with the assistance of Mark) and the fact the movie was called the “best” dcu film by gunn and randomly liked by some actors and finally having the title character portrayed by the only and only Ezra, don’t let him near your kids, Miller

Where Indy is the classic bait and switch with an 80 year old out of his prime actor portraying a character no one really cares about anymore. Add in that he’s a boring old man who was there for an easy paycheck from the company who spent way too much money on the project and you’re less likely get to clicks about the articles than the flash

I hate that they’re more picky with articles these days focusing on Disney/dc and the occasional “other” film. I was thankful they finally acknowledged the new Godzilla minus one film trailer a day late ugh
