The Flash star Ezra Miller has addressed one of the many allegations made against them prior to the movie's release in response to a Massachusetts judge allowing a temporary harassment order against the actor to expire.
The order was put in place last June when the mother of a 12-year-old child accused Miller of behaving inappropriately. It was also claimed that the actor was aggressive and abusive to the child's family (more details here).
Miller used the opportunity to claim that they were "unjustly and directly targeted," while also taking a swipe at the media for failing "to accurately report the truth and context of this story."
“I’m encouraged by today’s outcome and very grateful at this moment to everyone who has stood by me and sought to ensure this egregious misuses of the protective order system was halted,” Miller wrote in a statement posted to Instagram. “Protective orders are meant to provide safety for individuals, families and children who are in danger. They are not meant to be used as weapons by those seeking attention or fleeting tabloid fame or some sort of personal vengeance when there are people in true and dire need of these services.”
“I have been unjustly and directly targeted by an individual who the facts have shown has a history of such manipulative and destructive actions.”
The writer of the original Daily Beast article Miller is referring to Tweeted out the following response.
