Yesterday 'Flash' showrunner Eric Wallace, revealed his plans to bring back an old friend and foe for the final season, which meant the return of actors John Wesley Shipp, and Teddy Sears.

Shipp has portrayed a few characters throughout the show's 9-year run, so my guess is as good as yours as who he could come back to play. Sears, on the other hand, has portrayed one character who we fans have been begging to come back onto the show; Zoom!

It appears that Sears has already arrived in Vancouver, amid this news and the beginning of filming his character's scenes, for he posted a picture on his Instagram account captioned,

"Hello darkness, my old friend":

It does feel satisfying to see that menacing cowl being put to good use once more, rather than staying put somewhere and collecting dust over the past couple of years.

The capacity of the role Zoom is confirmed to play has not been announced just yet, but we could witness the start of the final clash between him and The Flash! With Barry having leveled up to running faster speeds since they last fought, Zoom will once again do whatever it takes to ensure he is the fastest man alive!

Speaking of The Flash. Did anyone else notice the Planet Krypton restaurant easter egg in the trailer? I haven't seen anybody else mention this so far anywhere on the internet.

Looks like that's where Batfleck and Barry are talking.

Are they finally going to follow through on Earth-1 Zoom? They showed his doppelganger all the way back in S02, but never went back to it, afaik.
If it's a different Zoom it would be cool if had his time slowing powers, he is the actual Reverse-Flash after all.
