Is This The Mjolnir We Will See In Thor?

Two of The Dillinger Escape Plan band members seen at Marvel.com Studios with awesome versions of Mjolnir and Stormbreaker.

Guitarist Jeff Tuttle and drummer Billy Rymer from the metal band The Dillinger Escape Plan recently stopped by Marvel.com Studios where they filmed a video for the site.

What caught my attention about the article at Marvel.com are these promotional pictures. Tuttle and Rymer are pictured with Mjolnir and Stormbreaker (Beta Ray Bill's mystic hammer).

My question is, are these just toys that Marvel has always had lying arround? Or are they prototypes? It is Marvel.com Studio's after all. Or in Mjolnir's case, is this a duplicate of the one on the set of Thor?

They are the best representations of the comic versions I have seen, and rightfully so, since they belong to Marvel.

Could this be the version of Mjolnir we will see in the movie? Let me know what you think. Don't forget to Confirm or Debunk below:

Multi: Look at them closely, they are different than the two you have up.

Mjolnir's handle is completely different and Stormbreaker has a completely different finish. The blade edge of Stormbreaker is also different.

Multi is right guys. They have a couple of these in a few stores in Manhattan like Midtown comics for example and it is identical to what they are holding in the pictures. But I do hope that the movie version is much closer to these pics than anything else. Only maybe a little bigger.

Now that looks the same. Yes, Stormbreaker is different, look at the cutting edge on the two.

In case you missed it, thanks again for looking into that problem with my article the other day.

I have a feeling the words on the Mjolnir are going to be presented much like the way the words were shown on the ring from Lord of the Rings.

They could be there for reference and inspiration. Also, why would BRBill's hammer be there?

Multi: Are you directly involved with that or is all security and police just amped up do to the incident?

This is an honest mistake. But for crying outloud, who put this on the first page? Facepalm.

odinsbeard@ that's too bad. I was hyped just by seeing him in planet hulk, even though he was replacing silver surfer, but just seeing him get that kind of recognition was the sh*t for me. He needs a story on his own, whether animated, or otherwise

slimybug: Its not a mistake. I never said this is the real deal. I asked if it could be, or close to it.

Multi: Well now you have some footage to show at your Captain America casting audition bud. Thats cool, terrible situation, but cool you made the news.

the Stormbreaker looks like the finish is corroding possibly - it's definitely different.

Beta Ray hopefully will be in - they sure were hyping him up with Planet Hulk. If you listen to the commentary, they used Beta Ray in place of Silver Surfer, because Marvel still maintains the rights. So it's definitely a possibility.

I imagine the Mjolnir in the film is going to be a LOT bigger than this. That hammer doesn't look threatening at all. . .

Most of this is funny. I got it mostly for the song "If I had a hammer" by Leonard Nemoy

Teabag dont you think that because green lantern is in 3d that it will be in alot more theaters and for a longer time , that it will destroy thor at the box office if thor isnt in 3d also . I sure do , love it or hate it you have to admit avatar and now alice in wonderland when there in 3d they make more money .

Higher ticket prices and it will be in more theaters , look at alice in wonderland rated a pretty bad movie just over 50 percent making huge money that it wouldnt have if it wasent in 3d . Take a great movie like gl or thor those movies will make alot more from people going more than once in 3d for thor maybe not so much.

Hmm...interesting find HAWKS! I'm hoping we'll get the classic version - I'm not a fan of the Ultimate or Stormbreaker-type looks! :)
