Marvel Studios' first film of 2011 will premiere at the homeland of the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth. Here are some excerpts from the article below, including where exactly the premiere will be held and who from the movie will be present:

"Be ready! because THE GOD OF THUNDER, the mighty Thor himself will be walking the red carpet in Sydney for the World Premiere of Kenneth Branagh`s THOR.

The World Premiere of the highly anticipated Marvel Studios film THOR will take place on Sunday April 17 at Event Cinemas George Street, Sydney.

Walking the red carpet will be the film’s director Kenneth Branagh and Australian Chris Hemsworth in the title role of Thor, ‘The God of Thunder’ as well as Kat Dennings who stars as Darcy, Tom Hiddleston in the role of Thor’s brother Loki and Jaimie Alexander who plays Sif. The World Premiere will kick off a two-day promotional tour covering Sydney and Chris’ hometown of Melbourne.

Australian audiences will be the first in the world to experience THOR, four days after the World Premiere when it opens in cinemas on April 21."

Notice how the article does not mention Natalie Portman walking the red carpet with the rest of her fellow cast members. My guess for her absence is that she will be too far into her pregnancy to attend.

@comiccritic
oh yeah I'm soo looking forward to meeting him. Hopefully its better than the dreams I have about him. They're always boring. The last one I had of him was basicly just running him over with my car, and then hearing him talk all Thorish. I was like "Take your shirt off already and lets do it!". But I always wake up. My dreams about Evans are more interesting. In fact they're kinda like this:

teheh ;)

@RacerREX - Wow. Just wow. I didn't realise that the ignorant, live-in-a-bubble Americans still exist. By the way, we don't even call them shrimp, fool.

Kudos to the Aussies (which is hard to say, being a pommie b*stard and all) but I still feel for the poor Norwegians. Don't worry though Norway, we'll let you have Captain Britain first when that gets made :)
