Earlier today, we finally got a chance to see Captain America's costume that actor, 'Chris Evans' will don in Captain America: The First Avenger. Well hold on to your butts because now we have our first full look at Thor.

Exclusively from Collider, sent to them by a reader, "Dan", they've received these amazing concept art pieces with Thor wielding his mighty hammer, Mjolnir.








DCMF: Looking at Captain America & now Thor, it seems Marvel has wonderfully updated these aged heroes into modern times, making it easy to see them stand by Iron Man in The Avengers. Since this is just concept art, this may not be the final look in Thor, but from the first official pic of the upper part of the costume, it seems to look identical. What do you think?

pants look similar to what ultimate thor wears. not really disappointing but unexpected. im sure the trailer will erase all the doubts.

I don't like the blue in his chestplate, it looks too Power Ranger-ish to me. The leather pants also look strange. This looks like something Stark would design, not Asgardian.

Love how we have all the Avengers concept online. This is heaven to Marvel/Photoshop fans.

Didn't expect these until next year at least.

Nice find, MF!

The outfit looks really cool. It doesn't capture the whole Asgard look 100 percent, but it's pretty stunning nonetheless. Hopefully, he does in fact get to wear his helmet in the film.

By the fall, we should get a teaser trailer.

@DCMarvelFreshman I'm not shocked they'll be starting the promotion machine for both Thor & Cap this July at Comic-Con...so I expect posters for both and footage from Thor...since I don't believe they'll be featuring the films next year at Comic-Con

Well, it matches the official pic so it looks like these concept pics are also the final design.

I realllly hope that's not the case because the pants are awful and ruins the whole Thor look. Cover up his legs and it looks fine.

Hopefully like Cap's, this could be Thor's 2nd costume maybe the leather-like pants on earth. And the first costume in Asgard would use chain-mail pants.

Does look more modern and techy than I expected but I like it. And I don't think those pants are leather. It's hard to tell with concept art but I think it's just the lighting effect that makes it look as such.

It kind of reminds me of the way the Ancients look on Stargate. Especially Stargate Atlantis.

Cool but the bottom pants part needs to look a little more
Norse. I like his regular look with the yellow
leather straps wound around his calf's.

It would be nice if he had Norse leggings of some sort
or knee-high boots. This looks like he's wearing
patent leather dress-pants! I hope they did something
different for the movie with his boots!

Although the Asgardians are gods with a more high-tech
look to them! So having a more tech look to his
garb is not totally out of the realm!

This sucks! Not because I don't like it - I love it, but because I love the Captain America ones too - and the fact that the Thor ones were so conveniently leaked after Cap's makes me doubt their validity.

So if you loved the Cap designs - it sucks because that might not be what we're getting. But if you hated them then you might have a second chance.

I hope these are real! The only way this CBM week could get better is if we got some pics of Hal Jordan's suit!

They should have went with either the sleeveless Ultimates look or the cape look instead of trying to combine the two.
The red on the boots and the thigh band looks silly.

It's always a little unfair to judge what Thor is gonna look like from these concepts but at least we know what sort of direction they are headed.

And now I'll judge: Like the top half, hate the bottom...but which I mean the costume!!

Don't like the boots.

Still, can't wait to see some decent pics of Chris on set dressed as Thor.

I would take these with a pinch of salt personally, after all they are concept images, and not labelled as actuals. I imagine we'll two different 'costumes' in these movies, one for Asgard/WWII and another more updated one for latter day Avenging.
