COMIC BOOK.com had the opportunity recently to talk with Darren Kendrick from the movie THOR. If I were to tell you he was one of the Frost Giants, you would probably still not recognise him in the film. If I were to say he was the Frost Giant who delivered the line “Run Back Home Little Princess" to THOR, you would remember him immediately. What follows is just a portion of COMIC BOOK.com's interview with Kendrick, to read the entire interview click on the link at the bottom of the page.

Were you familiar with the Frost Giants before getting cast in Thor?

Yes, I sure was

How long was the process of getting in makeup and costume as a Frost Giant?

Well, we would start at 3AM to be ready for set by 7AM. No matter what the call time was, it usually took about 3 to 4 hours to get ready head to toe and about an hour to get out.

Are there any scenes you remember that didn’t make it into the final Thor movie?

There was a scene where Thor threw his hammer at one of the Frost Giants and when the hammer was coming back to him, I tackled him and the hammer flew past and landed on the ground. Next, you saw 2 Frost Giants trying to lift it, but of course they were not worthy.

If you could play any Marvel superhero or villain, who would it be and why?

That would be Roland Deschain from “The Dark Tower.” But they already have another great actor playing the role. Javier Bardem. I also would be a great Ant-Man.

Word is that Loki will be the villain in the upcoming Avengers movie. Do you have any inside scoop on the Avengers?

Well, what you heard, I heard. What you saw, I saw. The only scoop is that I would be working on the Avengers, time will tell. I’ll keep you posted.

Lol so that was him. I knew when he said that line Thor was going to smash his face in. The look on Loki's face was priceless.

ckal: I thought the same thing but this is a quote from him in the interview " I really enjoyed it. Lot’s of fun. I really liked how they stuck to the humor of the comic book with the one liners. Especially mine. “Run Back Home Little Princess.”

@ckal & Hawks

No it was this guy because wasn't Laufey up high when Thor was talking to him. And the "princess" comment came from the giant standing right behind him.

Freedom: You are absolutely correct. It wasn't until I read this dudes statement and actually thought about what I had seen that I actually got it straight in my head.

Scenes like that were what I loved about this movie, the subtle lines that said so much and the subtle facial expressions were such a refreshing part. I absolutely loved this movie and hope to go see it again!!!

Of course I loved scenes like these too ;p

There's gotta be a ton of deleated scenes in this movie, especially in the bar after they start drinking boilermakers. Hope they releaase a director's cut.

Next time you guys go to bed at 3am after a night of video games, soda pops and chicks (like tonight) think of the people getting ready to put on makeup to entertain us in these movies only for us to toss around their performance as if it meant nothing to create it.

Sorry for the soap box treatment but these guys really do deserve some credit for their effort and in the case of Thor these guys did an amazing job.
