Tessa Thompson made her MCU debut as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, ultimately aligning herself with Thor and helping him to defeat Hela. The character returned for a small role in Avengers: Endgame, where the Odinson tasked her with taking over as ruler of New Asgard in his absence.
Valkyrie demonstrated enhanced strength and fighting skills in Ragnarok, but it sounds like her new position as Queen is going to allow her to debut some powerful new abilities.
Thompson was asked about Valkyrie's skills during an interview with W Magazine, and revealed that the Asgardian will gain some "weird" new powers in Thor: Love and Thunder.
"She has weird skills, to be honest. She can sense when someone is close to death, and she takes them into Valhalla, which is essentially the afterlife. She can revive people. But when she revives people, sometimes she ends up in their body. It's a weird thing. It can be quite erotic. And then she has superhuman strength and is essentially God."
Of course, this lines up with the Valkyries' depiction in the comic books and Norse mythology, where the “Choosers of the Slain” were a group of armored maidens who were sent to the battlefields by Odin to choose the dead who were worthy of a place in Valhalla. They were also known to bring others back from the brink, but inhabiting their bodies is a new one (as far as we know?).

Thor 4 plot details are still under wraps, but we know the story will revolve around the Odinson's old flame (Natalie Portman) transforming into The Mighty Thor. Members of the Guardians of the Galaxy will also be on hand, with Christian Bale taking on villain duties as Gorr the God Butcher.
Russell Crowe let slip that he'll be playing Zeus a few months back, while Matt Damon and Sam Neill have also been confirmed to return as "Fake Loki" and "Fake Odin" for (presumably) a stage re-cap of the events of Ragnarok.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theaters on July 8.
