The ending of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts saw Anthony Ramos' Noah Diaz interviewing for a security job but he later discovered that he was actually being recruited to join G.I. Joe.

It's an obvious play by Paramount that a G.I. Joe and Transformers crossover is happening...or is it.

Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura confirmed that the Joes will definitely be in the next film, however, it won't necessarily be a full-blown crossover just yet.

"I don’t look at things like a universe, I look at them as a story and [the Joes] will be a part of the story. I also think the term "crossover" means different things for different people. For me, the Joes, whoever they are, are entering the world of Transformers, not combining the two worlds. The plan is to eventually do [a crossover]. But, for the next movie, it’s the Joes that are coming in for whatever the ending of Rise of the Beasts has led us to believe is possible."

Di Bonaventura was also quick to point out that they don't actually have a script for the sequel yet, so it's possible these plans could change.

"Oh, they will interact. We haven’t developed a script yet though. What I will say is just like we do with every other movie, it will be a team of Transformers and humans fighting the fight. The Joes will be a part of that."

Although Rise of the Beasts is available for purchase on digital OnDemand, the film is still playing in a limited number of theaters.

This past weekend the film added another $1.12M to its domestic gross, bringing its North American total to $155.64M. Its worldwide gross currently stands at $425M. Rise of the Beasts has an estimated production budget of $195-$200M.

TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS is available on Digital now and 4K Ultra HD SteelBook™, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray™, and DVD on October 10th.
