Amazon Prime's adaptation of The Boys, a 2006 Wildstorm/DC/Dynamite comic book series from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, currently holds an 83% Rotten Tomatoes score and was recently revealed by Nielsen to have garnered 8 million views within the first 10 days of release.

As such, the show is one of Amazon's most popular offerings with many fans anxious to see a continuation of the first season's 8-episode offering.

Taking to Instagram, star Karl Urban has revealed that he's wrapped filming on the show and that season 2 will premiere in "mid 2020."

This is going to hurt! In a world where costumed heroes soar through the sky and masked vigilantes prowl the night, someone's got to make sure the "supes" don't get out of line. And someone will! Billy Butcher, Wee Hughie, Mother's Milk, The Frenchman, and The Female are The Boys: A CIA-backed team of very dangerous people, each one dedicated to the struggle against the most dangerous force on Earth - superpower! Some superheroes have to be watched. Some have to be controlled. And some of them - sometimes - need to be taken out of the picture. That's when you call in The Boys!

Good, that'll gimme enough time to get caught up. I've heard nothing but good things about the show.

Awesome, this series was a welcome surprise, it was quite good and I was very quickly pulled into the season and couldn't stop watching. Very excited for next season.

Hard to deny how great the first season was. 8 episodes was a great length. And Homelander is ultimately just terrifying. Great performance, for both the character and the actor.

I'm glad that Eric Kripke is bringing more of his Timeless cast into The Boys, in the form of Goran Višnjić and Claudia Doumit to join Malcolm Barrett who was in season one.
Loved Timeless so glad that Kripke has another big show.
The Boys was one of those shows everyone I know watched, so hopefully we get many more seasons
